One of the best hours of this great series! A view across America of the dynamics between the Crafters/Artists and the People who have a great love and appreciation for such a variety of eclectic, thoughtful art! ❤
i wish i had the money to collect art. those quilts were stunning!! cant wait to visit The Cheech! so many divinely talented skilled artists featured!!
It’s true! We need the people who appreciate our craft and to share it…. If not it just sits in front of me…. Which impedes my making more. And some of the art that is being made is necessary for the constant striving for world peace.
We want more shows like this!!! It is awesome because these are the sold pieces not the ones for sale at the gallery. You should do more featuring only women artists, because it is true, they are underrepresented. I really loved the medicine cabinet. Are those little smiley face tampons?
If your travels bring you close to Riverside, CA., please visit the Cheech Marin Center for Chicano Art & Culture ; "plus" up the street is the Riverside Art Museum. We are blessed to have great art exhibits in Riverside, CA.
The power lesbian mafia at the beginning was lit! Unfortunately Quilts are not great items to collect (especially the glued ones), because they fade and deteriorate with time and literally fall apart! Is it insufficient to simply to appreciate art to be considered a connoisseur. Loving objects just does not suffice: intelligence is a necessary determinant. Most collectors and some artists in this episode are rather autistic than art connoisseurs. I don't think they'd be able to elaborate on the influence the artists (they collect) had on their contemporaries and descendants. One wonders what else you could do with all the money they spend on "low brow art" and applied arts! It is wonderful to watch people be carefree and privileged to focus on solely loving what they do. The Cheech Marin collection was paricularily delightful. Great video. Thanks
There are many types of collectors. Your opinions are predicated on assumptions such as collectors must understand art from an academic lens or that collectors are "low brow" if the art they are supporting is inexpensive. Perhaps you are the autistic person you were mentioning, projecting your challenge to hold a broader understanding of who an art collector can be.
Oh STFU!!!!! Their is always some idiot in the comments that try to steal someones happiness These are beautiful and inspirational I don't care if it last 5 min Life is not guaranteed to see the morning Focus on getting some intelligence
I think you are a bad person. I feel bad for you about your notions of art. You really missed out! Art can be something pretty to look at. Maybe it doesn't make you think but, you want to view it. I have my Fine Arts degree and it's fine if you don't want art in your home but, don't say it is a waste of money!
Why can't every hour in life be as beautiful as the hour I spent watching this.

Les tissus sont magnifiques, mais pourquoi autant de racisme ? Plus exactement pourquoi encore séparer les gens par leur couleur ou leur genre ?
