Wow Tiger Lodge is pretty cool. Me and my hubby stayed in Leopard Creek and Giraffe Lodge for his birthday in October and had an amazing time. He especially loved the golf buggy. So much fun whizzing around the place, esp in the evening and early morning 😊
They both look really good! We’ve done Rhino Lodge and Wolf Lodge as well. I’ve made the video of the Rhino Lodge but not the Wolf Lodge yet. They’re both really nice and you get the buggy too. The buggy makes seeing the park so much better!
Great video and thanks for sharing your wonderful experience. I am considering on booking the tiger Lodge next July hopefully. Just a few questions if you don't mind answering please? How many tigers are there in the tiger Lodge? What do you get to see driving around in the buggy? What is the food like there? Do they let you see the rest of the animals? What is the bath really like? Thanks I have certainly Subscribed to your channel and liked this video. 👍🏽🐅
Hey, thanks for watching. Yeah of course: - 2 Tigers (they’re sisters) - you get to see the majority of the park on the buggy route (the rest you see on your group safari which is included). There are leopards, brown bears, hogs, gorillas, bison etc on the buggy route and the tigers and lions by the lodge. You get the buggy from check in until an hour after checkout but you need a driving licence to drive it. They give you a map of where you can drive - the food is ok but a bit pricey. You get breakfast included with the lodge and can buy dinner in the garden room restaurant or baby dolls pizzeria - you can see the park from opening on your check in day until close on the check out day. You can also access the sister park (Howletts) on both days which is about half an hour away. You can book the safari in advance so I would recommend doing that either before check in or after check out so you can make use of the lodge and golf buggy the rest of the time. You can walk part of the buggy route but it is really hilly. - the bath is nice but you can only use it on check in day which we didn’t know. You have to request it’s filled and takes 2 hours for them to do so I would also book that in advance as the timing didn’t work out great for us and we had to use it after dark so didn’t get to see the tigers from it The tigers didn’t come close to our window which is something I would bear in mind when booking. The site implies you’re guaranteed sightings but you aren’t and it seems customers experienced vary a lot. We also stayed at Rhino Lodge and the rhinos feeding trough is at the end of the garden so we saw them a lot. I’ve put up a video of our stay there. Hope this helps 😊 if you have anymore questions just let us know
@@MakingMoreMagicalMemories Thank you so much for that quick, and excellent reply. 👌 It certainly does sound amazing there. I will take your advice about the safari and bath booking in advance, I don't really want to be having a bath in the dark lol. I've just checked the lion Lodge also, the views from the room windows seen to be a lot more close up, and they have quite a few Lions moving about too. So I'm now in 2 minds which one to pick lol! 🐯🦁🤦🏽♂️ Also I wasn't very impressed with the Tiger Lodge staying area compared to the Lion Lodge stay area. The Tiger Lodge stay seemed quite rugged, although the Lion Lodge stay seems like the rooms are alot more modernly designed and stylish. Of course I shouldn't be overly concerned about the Living area, if I'm going there to see the animals lol. I'm just about to watch your rhino Lodge stay at the park. 🦏 Once again thank you so much for answering my questions, and giving honest advice about your experience. I look forward to more of your wonderful videos. 😎
@@engima3196 no problem at all. The lion lodges are a lot bigger and I did notice that the lions were close to the lodges on both of our last visits. They did leave meat outside the lodges but not sure if that’s done everyday or just happened to be done on the days we were there. I would love to stay there at some point. They had some new cubs at the end of the summer. They did mention potentially moving some to a new enclosure but not sure when that’s planned for. The tigers have a platform they like to rest on a lot but it’s not visible from the lodge which was frustrating. I hope you have a great time wherever you decide to stay 😊
@@MakingMoreMagicalMemories Thanks again for the advice. I think I've decided on staying at the Lion Lodge, as it does sound a lot better. Looking to book it for either July this year or next year for my 40th birthday. I will let you know about the Lion Lodge experience... Keep the 'More Magical Memories' uploads coming with your lovely family. Take care 🥰
@@engima3196 you’re welcome and I hope you have a great time! Do let us know how your stay is. It will likely be one of our 40th birthdays when we stay there too so will be waiting a few years
