I knew a very wise person who is very popular. She has no enemies and no anxiety at social events. She makes friends everywhere like breathing, never excluding anyone. She does it by laughing at everything. Not a spiteful or cruel or cynical laugh, she just genuinely is absolutely tickled by everything. People who are rude to her can't stay mad, they are instantly disarmed by her humor. She experienced some truly terrible things, but she can tell any story about anything in a way that makes everyone socially connect. I have never met anyone else like her. I have strived for that lightness and bright perspective ever since, I think about it whenever people are needlessly cruel to me, it helps me to relax and enjoy existence. 💚
Thank you for this, I'm in Australia where we are having a really hot summer right now and I really miss the winter, so this made me feel nice and cold ❄️
This is such a great reminder on sympathy. I think our issue is that we tend to assume the worst. When we see someone double parked we automatically assume they did it intentionally because they think their car is special etc, but the likelihood is that it was an accident. It could be a new driver who is still learning to park, a parent in a rush to get a sick child medicine, someone who just got off a long shift. So important to remember that we never know what someone is going through
Wow yes sometimes life really hands us lessons that both challenge us and yet bring us truth through difficult encounters with people ! That sharpens us up a bit 😂😅
