Somebody pointed out (which I failed to notice... my bad 😌), the moss on the tree trunk is purplish. When Taehyung touches it, gold dust emerges and flies to the sky... and some enters the dark hallway. Pretty similar to WAB:E when Namjoon falls deep into the water, purple "bubbles?" [ Idk how to describe tht thing 🤭 ] appears and brings him up and continues to surround all of them to the platform on the tall pedestal. Gold dust = purple bubbles = ARMYs ( is it? ehem...ehem..)
When I saw this song drop I thought "These boys have hearts of gold" because in these hard times they are still looking out for their fans. They are still putting out music to encourage everyone to remain positive and remind them that they aren't alone. We don't deserve them!

Yep. BTS stated in a live video that “Stay Gold” was to comfort and help/heal their fans (and the world) during quarantine. It’s so relative to what’s going on in the world right now, that after the darkness they are telling people to keep their light, remember the happy times will come again and that there is hope. The beat of the music also has a nostalgic feel. The scenes of them hanging out together are like flashbacks like a reminder to remember happy times to get them through the dark times until they make it through it to Paradise. There’s also a visual elements and correlation with Spring Day-Fake Love-Stay Gold MV’s, and you’ll want to pay attention to the visual details:)
True, but South Korea was also never in quarantine. They just have precautions with masks and keeping more distance. I went to a festival and a beach last weekend and there were plenty of people out and about.
Okay it wasn't until I saw AJJ doing the movements with his hands that I realized that the beat reminds me of a ticking clock lol. Which to me is starting to feel like a quarantine thing, like everyone is just trying to find ways to pass the time while we are stuck at home.

We weren't in an official quarantine either (the US) but Koreans followed what a lot of countries were doing with staying at home, and lots of businesses and schools closing. I think we all just call it a quarantine as a habit rather than saying "stay at home"

I think that when Tae touches the tree in the end, it is activating more gold to spread to us. First, the sets are not CGI. We should know better by now when it's Bangtan lol. Second, it kinda reminds me of how they are in the cold world of the Storyline and then goes to Magic Island, which connects the BH universes (BU, TU, GU). Third, there's a lot of callbacks to old MV sets like Joon in the Dope elevator, Yoonie in the room he burned in Fake Love, Jin on the mattress from the VCR last Speak Yourself concert series, TaeKook in the Fake Love rooms and walls, Hobi in the kitchen from Japanese BS&T, Jimin in the NMD bus. And the last scene with the Spring Day tree blooming, which is in Magic Island.
Yes, they are in a dream state. I think they used filters to achieve that 'Gold' tone. They were also paying homage to some of their videos throughout the song. When V was touching the 'purple' bark on the tree he was sending out purple flecks to ARMYs to say 'They PURPLE us.
BTS always know what Army needs, with all the negativity they give us a hand to hold on to what is good until we can walk freely in the light. I kept thinking of the past storylines, how they were all struggling and ended up in these dark places. They start the video with each of them alone, Tae closes his eyes remembering the good times when they were together and finally that ray of light brings them back together so they can find happiness again. I have been in the pit of darkness before. So I speak with experience. You are very treatable with meds and counseling. You can escape the darkness within weeks. Most don't know it is a biochemical challenge we face. Our bodies just dont produce enough serotonin. I will pray for you and your journey to healing. This MV is amazing. It's beautifully done; I loved the contrasting scenes of dark, gloomy and isolated to bright, hopeful and optimistic. I got a few references from their past MVs with this. 1. Fake Love - The members being in different rooms. 2. On - Walking up the hillside. In On they were walking up a steep rock. 3. Spring Day - The tree. It has finally bloomed. 4. And lastly I Need U - when the members are alone, they look sad, lonely and possibly going through hardship. When together, they feel content, happy.

So many army know that bts pretty much never use green screen or cgi in their videos and this video is no exception. I was just on Facebook and saw photos of the crew actually constructing the set...like the whole thing. Garden, pool...all of it. They even used real flowers. They only thing that probably was green screen or cgi was probably the sky and all those gold sparkles floating around. So to answer your question, the garden is not a real place but they did really create one

It's nice to know that this is not a green screen. Big Hit staff really assembled stuff to look like a lavender garden with a sakura tree plus a mini pond set for the boys to work with. It's a feel-good song...especially at times like now. I'm still stuck in a foreign country due to the pandemic but BTS manages to help me feel good all the time. I'm still lucky compared to others tho. Fun Fact: The golden retriever in the video debuted last March...courtesy of RM.
Have you read The Outsiders by SE Hinton? One character says, “Stay Gold” before passing away, a reference to Robert Frost’s poem Nothing Gold Can Stay. Basically, the character is telling his friend to hold on to his youth and innocence, even though they’re a group of misunderstood youth who’ve gone through troubled times to say the least. Moreover, the character dies as a result of a church fire not unlike the fire we see in a few scenes here. This may be a very American take but I interpreted this video as one of comfort for those who feel like outsiders as well as a reminder not to lose hope or light associated with youth. I was most impressed that this was in Japanese. I knew some of them study both English and Japanese, but I didn’t know they produce entirely Japanese albums based on their Korean album. I don’t know who writes the songs, but they already do so much. They’re just ott talent and artistry.
The original Japanese songs are usually written by other producers. I think they struggle to write full songs in a kinda foreign language. But sometimes they do still help write.
@@abul9052 not really, they've done full on proper raps in japanese. you can check out their attack on bangtan japanese ver if you're interested, for example. they performed it live too. :) they do full albums in japanese but i think theyre mostly written by japanese songwriters. but they take part in other aspects sometimes. in the latest japanese release jk has his name credited for composition in a couple songs if i'm not wrong.

I just noticed that the gold dust that comes out of the tree when Taehyung touches it is the same gold dust that led the boys out of the dark house earlier in the video. It's almost as if you'd be reaching out to encourage those inner parts of yourself that are going through dark times. There are always so many layers to their videos!

Idk if anyone mentioned it, but the MV totally taps into old MVs. The intro scene with JK is from Fake Love (he's even wearing the same clothes), Jin lying on a mattress = literally any MV from the Bangtan Universe where he's on a bed, Yoongi in that burned down room = Fake Love (anything Fire is always related to him), Joon is locked up in an elevator (he went to jail in the Webtoon Save Me and he lives in a container that could be reminiscent of a prison), Tae lights a match (Spring Day reference), in Hobi's part the Gold light shines through a keyhole (in Fake Love Snickers try to get through the keyhole and he holds the door closed), Jimin is in an old bus that reminded me of Spring Day, when he is the one to open the doors of the train and then they are in that beautiful field - ahaaa guess where the guys go in Stay Gold! 😉 and there's a blossoming tree! And the tree has some PURPLE flower rakes on in that Tae touches and the Gold Dust comes out (they purple us and wanna comfort us)

I'm not sure if this is true or not, but I've seen things saying that the tree in the end of the video is the same tree from Spring Day that has finally bloomed. Representing that winter has passed (the bad, cold, and dark times) to now welcome spring (the light, good, and happy times). And though in the world physically, there are many bad things going on, we can still be happy and connected (especially since Spring Day is about missing someone and the tree kind of shows that time going away) mentally by being ourselves and staying positive. I find that connection is also showed throughout this video with the members being alone in the dark and sad times, but being together when they are happy.

The part that AJJ said looked like an eye opening when everything turned bright and beautiful I saw it as just a gold line first. It reminded me of the "silver lining" that is in most situations. Instead of a silver lining, it's a gold lining and almost like they're saying that together we can go from one terrible extreme, one dark time in quarantine now to the other extreme where we'll walk into a beautiful, more accepting world together coming out of this. Just thought that was really clever.

Somebody pointed out (which I failed to notice... my bad 😌), the moss on the tree trunk is purplish. When Taehyung touches it, gold dust emerges and flies to the sky... and some enters the dark hallway. Pretty similar to WAB:E when Namjoon falls deep into the water, purple "bubbles?" [ Idk how to describe tht thing 🤭 ] appears and brings him up and continues to surround all of them to the platform on the tall pedestal.

When I saw this song drop I thought "These boys have hearts of gold" because in these hard times they are still looking out for their fans. They are still putting out music to encourage everyone to remain positive and remind them that they aren't alone. We don't deserve them!

Yep. BTS stated in a live video that “Stay Gold” was to comfort and help/heal their fans (and the world) during quarantine. It’s so relative to what’s going on in the world right now, that after the darkness they are telling people to keep their light, remember the happy times will come again and that there is hope. The beat of the music also has a nostalgic feel. The scenes of them hanging out together are like flashbacks like a reminder to remember happy times to get them through the dark times until they make it through it to Paradise. There’s also a visual elements and correlation with Spring Day-Fake Love-Stay Gold MV’s, and you’ll want to pay attention to the visual details:)

We weren't in an official quarantine either (the US) but Koreans followed what a lot of countries were doing with staying at home, and lots of businesses and schools closing. I think we all just call it a quarantine as a habit rather than saying "stay at home"

I think that when Tae touches the tree in the end, it is activating more gold to spread to us. The end scene shows a light at the end of the tunnel and the gold is on its way to bring us out of the darkness, just like it did for them. The set was monted. The flowers, the big Tree, the lake... was all for real. They just edited a little in the final results.
First, the sets are not CGI. We should know better by now when it's Bangtan lol.
Second, it kinda reminds me of how they are in the cold world of the Storyline and then goes to Magic Island, which connects the BH universes (BU, TU, GU).
Third, there's a lot of callbacks to old MV sets like Joon in the Dope elevator, Yoonie in the room he burned in Fake Love, Jin on the mattress from the VCR last Speak Yourself concert series, TaeKook in the Fake Love rooms and walls, Hobi in the kitchen from Japanese BS&T, Jimin in the NMD bus. And the last scene with the Spring Day tree blooming, which is in Magic Island.
Yes, they are in a dream state. I think they used filters to achieve that 'Gold' tone. They were also paying homage to some of their videos throughout the song. When V was touching the 'purple' bark on the tree he was sending out purple flecks to ARMYs to say 'They PURPLE us.
BTS always know what Army needs, with all the negativity they give us a hand to hold on to what is good until we can walk freely in the light. I kept thinking of the past storylines, how they were all struggling and ended up in these dark places. They start the video with each of them alone, Tae closes his eyes remembering the good times when they were together and finally that ray of light brings them back together so they can find happiness again. This MV is amazing. It's beautifully done; I loved the contrasting scenes of dark, gloomy and isolated to bright, hopeful and optimistic.
I got a few references from their past MVs with this.
1. Fake Love - The members being in different rooms.
2. On - Walking up the hillside. In On they were walking up a steep rock.
3. Spring Day - The tree. It has finally bloomed.
4. And lastly I Need U - when the members are alone, they look sad, lonely and possibly going through hardship. When together, they feel content, happy.

So many army know that bts pretty much never use green screen or cgi in their videos and this video is no exception. I was just on Facebook and saw photos of the crew actually constructing the set...like the whole thing. Garden, pool...all of it. They even used real flowers. They only thing that probably was green screen or cgi was probably the sky and all those gold sparkles floating around. So to answer your question, the garden is not a real place but they did really create one

It's nice to know that this is not a green screen. Big Hit staff really assembled stuff to look like a lavender garden with a sakura tree plus a mini pond set for the boys to work with. It's a feel-good song...especially at times like now. I'm still stuck in a foreign country due to the pandemic but BTS manages to help me feel good all the time. I'm still lucky compared to others tho.
Fun Fact: The golden retriever in the video debuted last March...courtesy of RM.

Have you read The Outsiders by SE Hinton? One character says, “Stay Gold” before passing away, a reference to Robert Frost’s poem Nothing Gold Can Stay. Basically, the character is telling his friend to hold on to his youth and innocence, even though they’re a group of misunderstood youth who’ve gone through troubled times to say the least. Moreover, the character dies as a result of a church fire not unlike the fire we see in a few scenes here. This may be a very American take but I interpreted this video as one of comfort for those who feel like outsiders as well as a reminder not to lose hope or light associated with youth.

I was most impressed that this was in Japanese. I knew some of them study both English and Japanese, but I didn’t know they produce entirely Japanese albums based on their Korean album. I don’t know who writes the songs, but they already do so much. They’re just ott talent and artistry.
The original Japanese songs are usually written by other producers. I think they struggle to write full songs in a kinda foreign language. But sometimes they do still help write.
This will be their 4th Japanese album :)

they do full albums in japanese but i think theyre mostly written by japanese songwriters. but they take part in other aspects sometimes. in the latest japanese release jk has his name credited for composition in a couple songs if i'm not wrong.

The intro scene with JK is from Fake Love (he's even wearing the same clothes), Jin lying on a mattress = literally any MV from the Bangtan Universe where he's on a bed, Yoongi in that burned down room = Fake Love (anything Fire is always related to him), Joon is locked up in an elevator (he went to jail in the Webtoon Save Me and he lives in a container that could be reminiscent of a prison), Tae lights a match (Spring Day reference), in Hobi's part the Gold light shines through a keyhole (in Fake Love Snickers try to get through the keyhole and he holds the door closed), Jimin is in an old bus that reminded me of Spring Day, when he is the one to open the doors of the train and then they are in that beautiful field - ahaaa guess where the guys go in Stay Gold! 😉 and there's a blossoming tree! And the tree has some PURPLE flower rakes on in that Tae touches and the Gold Dust comes out (they purple us and wanna comfort us)

I'm not sure if this is true or not, but I've seen things saying that the tree in the end of the video is the same tree from Spring Day that has finally bloomed. Representing that winter has passed (the bad, cold, and dark times) to now welcome spring (the light, good, and happy times). And though in the world physically, there are many bad things going on, we can still be happy and connected (especially since Spring Day is about missing someone and the tree kind of shows that time going away) mentally by being ourselves and staying positive. It has a big Fake Love meets Spring Day vibes. For example, one thing that blew my mind is if you go back to the outfit Yoongi is wearing. Well, I have to say this for a while now: THANK YOU SO MUCH, all of you for genuinely enjoying my boys and always demonstrating this, because it is really sad (and revolting) when a reactor uses them and the armys to generate buzz on the channel itself, I mean, I just had a really bad experience with one of the channels I was watching, but it doesn't matter! The part that AJJ said looked like an eye opening when everything turned bright and beautiful I saw it as just a gold line first. It reminded me of the "silver lining" that is in most situations. Instead of a silver lining, it's a gold lining and almost like they're saying that together we can go from one terrible extreme, one dark time in quarantine now to the other extreme where we'll walk into a beautiful, more accepting world together coming out of this. Just thought that was really clever.
