I think I've seen this video 10 times or so and teared up each time. Sheesh.
10, those are rookie numbers! You gotta pump those numbers up!
Same this one and the J Mac video
me 2... goosebumps all over
I've watched this several times and still get choked up. Helps me restore faith in mankind.
Steven Adler I think what’s sad is there are countless examples of this going on that we never hear about. I put a good deal of effort into seeking out positive stories.
Me too, Steven. Don't give up. Keep looking for and seeing the good in people. I hope this brightened your day.
We saw it on the news here in Australia last night - BRILLIANT !! Congratulations to both teams... while the game was important, it was heartening to see that it was humanity that one that game. To Jonathon Montanez, (22 Franklin), by passing him the shot you did your mother proud and inspired thousands - well done son.
Hard not to get choked up watching this
tominator3 true dat
Coronado and franklin are huge rivals, at games usually people go there to fight and on the last game, people were throwing water bottles and flour everywhere. I could not believe it when I heard from my sister (who happened to be cheering at the game) that this happened. Just amazing people with amazing hearts.
What an amazing group of kids
things like this belong on the news, not murderers or rapists being exposed all over the world on every stupid news channel for weeks and months.
I mean people need to know about rapes and murders as well
Positive reinforcement
Some children are reared properly with a sense of love and compassion for their fellow men and women. This was one of them
I agree Katie!
I am speechless. This is one of the most beautiful things I've ever seen.
there are still thousands of amazing people out there
leoprisionero millions
Stories like this are what life is all about. These are all good people, especially Jonathan Montanez, who anyone would be proud to have for their son, and all of his teammates and coaches, who didn't object to what he did. His parents raised a great kid, and his gesture gave another person a lifelong good memory. Kudos to Mitchell's coach and teammates as well!
That is simply beautiful. Wow. Just wow. May God bless the coach, that young man for what he did, and most of all....Mitchell! ✝️💟☮️
Hero Coach with ❤️ and team mate too made a dream come true..What a great group of teens Hurray
Fantastic. Lost for words.
Montanas gets it. Such a young man to already have compassion and the understanding that it isn’t just about yourself. Good on you fellow
Proud to be from el paso ❤
its an honor of mine knowing i go to.school with these kids. i play ball with these kids. im friends with them and that mitchell and jon both are such a huge part of my life. its too amazing for words & im glad his story was able to be shared.
I always come back to this video
This was absolutely beautiful and my eyes are full of tears while I'm typing this! God Bless that team and all the players and the coach for having so much heart!!!!
Oh My Gosh.... this is Absolutely Beautiful!!!! God Bless these men!!!
This is truly what life is all about. Love & compassion. This video made me cry..
That's just amazing to see someone do something like
Johnathan, you are a class act, as are the young men on both teams.
great to see both teams helping this young man have a special moment. well done.
Shit. That's powerful. Good young men.
10 years… man, we’re getting old. Still a great reminder years later, we live in a friendly friendly world. Remember..
There is a great future for BOTH these young men...their families, schools, and friends/teammates can be VERY proud.
Both are men in their 20’s by now and have different reasons to look back on this moment with pride
Respect!!most touching ever!
Alot of college basketball teams should look at this when some of there players act stupid. Those kids are so much more mature then most college basketball players
It is stunning to me that there are people in this world that give a thumbs down to story like this (23 at the time I post this). What a beautiful story of love and compassion. Well done, Jonathan. That was all class.
Another great story.
2:15 I bet that was louder than a 747 revving up.
Made this young man's day! Damn onion cutting Ninjas
The player that passed him the ball on the inbound, that boy was raised right.
This is awesome!
"I think I'll cry about it for the rest of my life" .... me too!
To the kid who turned it over; he won’t remember the score of one game he played in high school 30 years from now, but he’ll remember calling out Mitchell’s name and passing him the ball.
I heard he got a full scholarship because of what he did
Bravo, Johnathan - good form!
That's what I like to see young people treating other peers with respect for others regardless if they disabilities
Why would anyone dislike this?
that was a great move by the boy that passed him the ball. Even though it was there ball he still gave it to him to make the buzzer beater. This story really touches my heart. great job to both teams!
That was really beautiful its nice to know that ppl can b this kindhearted to one another
Legacy is planting seeds in a garden whose flowers you might never see.
Good on you young man. You’ve done your family proud.
How can anyone not like this.
Respect ;)
you guys are both amazing and god blessed you both !!!
How can you not love sports, amazing story!
That’s SPORTSMANSHIP at its best.
I have been in the house the whole weekend trying to take it easy. I have a carotid artery that is 99 percent blocked and waiting on test results.
I have watched every on the road segment that is on TH-cam. CBS should do a show a few times a year just showing these.
With all the chaos and turmoil we have to live in and deal with, I think all of us could use an uplifting story such as these. Hats off to Steve Hartman!!
makes me cry everytime i watch it, it just touches my heart! how can 6 people dislike this video!?
these videos can make anyone cry idc
Very hard to not get choked up on this one even though this was 5 years ago.
awsome story inbounder has a place in heaven for sure...amazing gesture.
Moments like this are priceless !
This is underrated...

Saw this on the news since evening and I had to tube it, this brought tears yoooo, still bringing em
if the ref called traveling on that last play there will really be a "kill the ref" outcry. haha
Who could be so heartless to dislike this?
That is so great😊😊😌
This video is so inspiring i love it
People like that are my heroes
WHO would want to give this story a thumbs down, and WHY would they??!!
so sad I almost cried🤧
True sportsmen! Well done.
What a caring bunch of students. Kudos to #22 opposition team.
That is so awesome :) I love both of those teams now!
This was amazing
Tears of joy..
2:16...I couldn't stop my tears
one of the most badass things I've ever seen
I have no clue where or what Jonathan is doing now but I would imagine it is great
That's how we should love one another!
stuff like this makes me want to cry alot
love this video. Damned onion trucks.
hope you're happy hartman. you got me again. good karma for young mr. montanez. your folks should be proud.
When you realize people have a heart
This was a very good thing to do - do you understand that, George F. Will? (He once wrote a column fuming against a coach in a women’s game who had told his players to make this sort of deliberate turnover of kindness so a player could score.)
I'm so sorry that Trump criticized this lovely community...he has blood on his hands.
1) Lie down.
2) Try not to cry.
3) Cry a lot.
Not all teen agers are self centred self absorbed....
Blessed you all
I'm crying
Jonathan from the other team gets it! Good in him!
my faith in humanity has been restored! :)
love this!!
Awsome. And why all the strife in our world when we're all capable of this type of kindness?
"Treat others how you want to be treated"
BIG TRUE
Why, yes, I WOULD like the opposing team to hand me the ball and have no defense so I can get a free shot.
I'm crying, geez
When Jonathan is old enough, I'd like to buy him a beer. Great kid.
Faith in humanity restored
I'm not crying! I'm a man. It's just a little bit of my awesomeness leaking out
I've watched this 15 times today and I STILL CAN'T FIGURE OUT WHO AROUND HERE IS CUTTING THE ONIONS!
I LOVE THAT STUFF!
Awesome this is how we should treat others :)
I'm not cryin! You're cryin!!!!
I cried
Hats off to the parents of Johnathon
Love this❤
Gawd I love that!!!!
