He gave breakthrough to music directors like RD Burman and Rajesh Roshan, also to Amitabh Bachchan. His son, Lucky Ali, is an incredible singer and had sung many soulful songs.

When I was 6-7 years old my father had to undergo a surgery and was on bedrest for a couple of months after that. I remember the two of us watching this scene on TV one afternoon after I came from school 😂😂😂 It is still every bit as funny and I salute these two legendary actors, Om Prakash ji and Mehmood sahab.
Both these great actors in father & son role were always a treat to watch. The comedy was so clean & enjoyable. Such movies and script writing can never be replicated in today's times.
