Oh we have thebsame experiece. I wake up everymorning with the sound of this bird. And then one time i saw it, i was attracted by the color. Black and yellow. So i researched . Im from philippines. I think this is a tropical bird. It originates from indonesia and sri lanka. But im happy to see a pair of this bird here in our place. I always get fascinated by their sound as well. Very sharp, loud and so fine

Nice. This bird has a flutier and richer call. Here, it is singing only one note. These birds love mango trees and mangoes (of course), at least in the greener parts of India such as Goa.

In morning one bird is sitting outside of my window and calling again again by seeing his own reflection in my window's glass . I recorded it .
Then I got some curious about it . I got to know that in my regional language(Bengali) it is called "বেনে বউ"(the wife of goldsmith) . But my never ending curiosity took me here 😅.
