Church hurt is real and destructive. Going thru it now. Thank you for your video’s, I truly, from the bottom of my heart, needed to hear this. All 3 videos were confirmation from the Lord.

The hardest is letting go of the hurt. And because it's hard to let go, it's hard to forgive. Staying away from those who hurt you is easier than having to front the hurt. It's a very slow process. I'm not fully out of it. But then there is the other problem of shame. It's hard to face people when we have been hurt and bitterness kicks in.
Thanks for this. I needed ot

Thanks for sharing, Adrian... one way to think about is living through the problem, rather than having to fix it right now. You may need to reconfigure some of those relationships, accept that it is challenging and a process, and push against avoidance in manageable ways.

This was great! Thank you for dealing with a subject that impacts so many people. I would like to add something that I don't often see in discussions about church hurt. I taught a series on church hurt and felt the need to include that though church hurt is real and is often legitimate there are times when it is not. There are church members who have expectations that may not be biblical or reasonable for the church leadership to fulfill and when it is clear that those expectations will not be met, those members often feel hurt. Unfortunately this type of church hurt is illegitimate. When someone feels hurt by the church, there has to be some personal and biblical assessment. Was the expectation that the church failed to meet biblical or even reasonable.

You have a point.....agree with you....
But most of the time, the reason why there's hurt in the church is leaders or let say wife/wives of the Pastor. The wife started to be insecure, jealous, intimidated, angry & so on. Her action and reaction towards somebody or the members starts to change just because of her insecurities.

I forgive but the pain/sting comes back fairly easily. I dont know if I truly forgive because the cut is so deep plus all the wasted time not serving God since the offense. When a person in the church says extremely hurtful and confusing things and I was very loyal. Now I have this ptsd that kicks in when I try to do anything Church/God related. If I try to talk about it Im labeled petty and a victim.

Thank you for this....I'm in a situation right now that was hurt here in my church. All you full intention is just serving the Lord, help the body but seems to them is not. They put negative meaning on it. Accused and condemn you with something you haven't done. How do you deal it?

Could i ask you this ? What if there were spirits which were behind your hurt inside the church

The scripture says for we wrestle not a against flesh and blood but against principalities and powers and rulers of darkness in high places. Eg An individual can want to disrupt a church service or create division and why it's a spirit behind all these things . A spiritual force can be using a person to carry out the disruption. That is why there are so many issues and persons being hurt.

While there are many things that you say that ring true in the realm of common sense. I must ask if you really believe the ennegram is helpful...

The enneagram is entirely fabricated, thoroughly debunked and not used by responsible counselors.

@@evandoylethinks No, it is derived from the occult. The enneagram was "channeled" via automatic writing -- the originator admits to this in an interview, his name is Claudio Naranjo. There are many videos on this subject. Type in "Proof that the enneagram is new age, not Christian" -- doreen virtue does a great job of putting all the facts together, with video evidence of claudio saying he got the info from 'spirits'. Beware of Astrology, jungian typology like MBTI, and the enneagram. God bless you both.
