Opie rarely adds to the show, if not making it worse. Jimmy and Ant are hilarious… Now that said, this really shows Jimmy’s self esteem issues by assuming nothing of theirs is worth value…. He always calls himself a nobody and just a loser, and it’s usually hilarious self deprecating humor, but this really reiterates, in a literal way, how Jim values himself and believes others value him.

I’ve been binging these old episodes and it truly reveals the difference between an actual smart, informed person (Louis CK) and three often willfully ignorant people (Jimmy, Ant and Patrice). And usually the difference is revealed in the ability to recognize nuances in life. Bill burr is somewhere in the middle. Not ignorant to new ideas. Not particularly well informed or even intellectually curious. But funny. Ope is also there.
