@@sajmon8857 That's the thing, the F-35 was designed to be as maneuverable as a F-16 and F-18. It was the project requirement. It's other factors are just so far ahead it gets lost in the conversation.
@@sajmon8857 -sigh- You said the F-35 is not designed to dogfight. The F-35 program REQUIREMENTS which were signed off as ACCEPTED are the F-35 needed to be as maneuverable as a F-16 and F-18. This means Lockheed Martin purposely designed the plane to meet these capabilities. However the F-35 has another qualities (stealth, sensor fusion) that overshadow it's maneuverability because of how dominant it is. For example, F-22 pilots say the least impressive thing about the F-22 is the maneuverability and the early iteration of stealth and sensor fusion (by Lockheed Martin again) are what they're referencing. Hopefully you follow that.
@sajmon8857 more than capable of looking after itself in a dogfight, but it would kill anything before it merged into a close in dogfight. This is the Future not the past
@@sajmon8857 That's because they nailed all the fundamentals first, it's an extremely well designed, aerodynamically efficient aircraft with modern avionics. It was guaranteed to be highly maneuverable and stable even though it wasn't specifically designed to do so

What a fantastic view, hoping on one day they will come to Malaysia and performing for Langkawi International Malaysia & Aerospace Exhibition. Loving that sound 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Thailand is more likely to choose to use the Jas-39 Grippen fighter jet than the F-16 fighter jet that the USA offers for sale because the F-16 is becoming obsolete and cannot compete with the F-35.
I really like your videos and the performance of the F-35 is impressive, but aren't these displays of this and other aircraft rather useless? I mean if this had been a real dog fight situation far way from the home base, would it have been been possible to return to base after using this much afterburner fuel? (I don't critic your video which I think is great as always ☺)
Also pretty much every country in NATO who is replacing their old fighters have chosen F35. The total number built and delivered thus far is already over 1000 and overall US alone plans to have some 2500 of these by end of 2044...and if you add all NATO country's + few other countries outside NATO who has ordered them, the total number is gonna be easily over 3100 planes total. Most likely by end of its lifespan (somewhere in 2070s possibly) its gonna reach similar numbers built what F16 has (some 4600 planes total) because it very much is similar default choice for most countries, except F16 actually had some rivals like F18 and Eurofighter Typhoon. F35 doesnt really have that kind of rivalry, because none of the other plans currently produced are as advanced as it is. That might change in coming decades, but we can safely say its basicly F16's successor in popularity/numbers built
All F35 demos look as though the aircraft is pressing into the air rather than cutting through it loosing lots of airspeed during sharp turns. Is the aircraft too heavy or something, maybe it's wings are too small for its weight???
It needed a powerful engine to do all of these maneuvers as it was designed with sensor fusion and stealth in mind; unlike the F-22, the F-22 was designed with maneuverability, stealth, and speed. If you compare the maneuvers of these aircraft at an airshow, the Raptor just does it with ease.
Well F35 is becoming the most mass produced fighter since F16 so that should cut down the costs somewhat, because so many countries aside from US have also bought them. The more users it has, the better it is for costs and also for future development/upgrades. And considering the current situation the world has been for last 2 years, I dont think anyone wants anything but the best thing when it comes to their air force, which is why F35 has been winning pretty much every "bidding contest" against the so called "4.5th gen" fighters like Super Hornet, Eurofighter Typhoon, and JAS 39 Gripen E. I mean US alone plans to replace most of its current fighters (all F16s, most of F18s atleast) with F35s ,so US alone has 2500 of these ordered and if you count all other countries who have ordered them, the number goes to 3100 atleast.
F35 Lightening ll it shows its prowess and air superiority but it lacks vector thrust so in real war scenario SU35 with beat it in dog fight but this f35 is made for stealth capabilites still with its size it will be shot down with bvr missiles you dont even need J20 of SU57!

Awesome video! Always love to see the vapor around the jet.
I don't think the debate over the F35 will ever end unless there's a war and it kicks ass, but it sure is beautiful.

All the detractors of this plane must be watching a different aircraft because this thing rips! Outstanding camera work!!!
It's the best and cheapest. Everyone who still complains about this plane heard news about its early days once and then just repeated that ad nauseam.
Quite a smooth operator, she can really fly. What a great demo of a badass jet with a badass pilot
