This team is so great and heartwarming :] A Caring Director Momo and Catcher Abe(cause they got mad with Mihashi, who want to be pitcher for two rounds, in order words, considering and worrying his energy and situation as teammate and Ace Pitcher.); An innocent and protective best friend Tajima ("Team Innocent" with ability of avoiding Mihashi from collapsing in any mental damage lol); and loving teammates: saikuchi, izumi, hanai, etc(obvious, they act like family, and almost compromise everything, when it comes to Mihashi lol.)
This anime was very progressive at the time of release by their standards. Japanese high school pitchers throw complete games that total easily north of 120 pitches (doable by professional standards but still too many for every fifth days). Today some prefectures are beginning to use the pitch limit rule similar to what America has to prevent these kids from literally throwing their arms away. Some coaches even go as far as sitting the team's ace in Koshien tournaments if they're deemed to haven't gotten enough rest days.
I know this is a year old, but every time I rewatch this scene, it strikes me how relevant it still is. Momokan would still probably need to be held back like that because she'd know about the ever-increasing amount of young players getting Tommy John surgery, and Mihashi telling her this informs her that this would be a one-way ticket to exactly that. Not only can she not have her *only experienced pitcher* throwing that much, but she wouldn't allow that kind of harm on any of those kids.
The others weren't ready at this point, but the team would start to have more depth soon. Not sure about any new members just yet, but there are developments related to this for sure.

大会毎試合1人で投げるピッチャーのこと考えてみて欲しい。
甲子園までも投げるし、大会だから慎重に球数使いますよね。そうなると1試合で150とか180投げることになります。しかもそれはマウンドでの話でブルペン含めると一日で200～230くらい投げますね。
甲子園目指すようなチームの練習では週600〜700くらい投げ込みするので体は出来上がっていますが、スポーツは体が商品であり商売道具です。プロを目指す人、そうでなくてもスポーツを続けたい人のために出来たルールです。
人がいないチームやスカウトが目をつけるくらいのピッチャーがいるチームには残酷なルールですが、仕方ないですね💧
まあ自分が言いたいのは今のピッチャーが弱いから作られた訳では無いってことなので、今からでも考えを改めてくださるとありがたいです。
