@thanesgames9685 little halfling stabs some guy in the back and runs 10 feet away, thinking to himself "ha, he'll never catch me!" only to realize that same enemy is looming over him with a greatsword the very next turn cuz he has more movement.
@@Sin05269 Well technically you have 25 feet of movement as an halfling. From level 2 you can use ur bonus action for dash and for stealth so theres that. Aren't you ALSO just wearing a bathrobe?

I remembered this song when making my first rogue, I didn't think "oh this will be OP" I was just thinking "yeah that does seem like a good feat".
I can hide behind party members (light foot halfling), pass through space blocked by creatures larger than me, hide every turn after an attack, and run away all the time.
I'm just a little ball of blades, and honestly I wasn't expecting it.
dnd chuckie, wow
Lightfoot halfling assassin go! Love hide in plain sight.
It's a good time! But honestly, you aren't getting that far away.
And with the feat you'll get bonus 10 feet of movement. So you can go in 35 feet, attack and then go out 35 feet in one round if you miss out on stealth. Or if you're a Lightfood Halfling you could even go like 5 feet, attack, go 5 feet and use your bonus action to stealth behind a friend that's close to the enemy and repeat this every round.
Give us a full version of the song or I make Sauron's war crimes look like a fucking joke.

Character customization? Never heard of it! We dont need characters in a role playing ga-oh wait, thats the most important thing? To make interesting and varied characters? Nah, 5e doesnt need roleplaying, we have balance!
@@punishedwhispers1218 the thing is as one of my players thaught me is thaat roleplaying can exist regardless of balance...you can create a character with a particular personality you want to rp regardless of the system..want to make a pyromaniac arsonist hellbent on burning everything under the sun??? you can do it in ANY system or edition be dnd, wod, fudge, fate or heck....even pokemon...although pokemon made it way too easy..he just filled his team with fire types... and yes, he's played that character on every system that we've played....

still only get one reaction a round, so if you're surrounded you can stop like 1 thing from getting away
@@quonomonna8126 and that's why we can't have sentinel in pathfinder, otherwise people would be getting like 3-4 attacks of opportunity with sentinel to stop them
Sentinel : "Creatures provoke opportunity attacks from you even if they take the Disengage action before leaving your reach."
Mobile : "When you make a melee attack against a creature, you don't provoke opportunity attacks from that creature for the rest of the turn, whether you hit or not."
For those who don't know about this interaction, features that prevents opportunity attacks without Disengage bypass Sentinel, scince sentinel only triggers if they used the Disengage action. This work for mobile and legendary actions that let a monster move without provoking opportunity attacks.
Sentinel is amazing on a rogue. Park yourself next to the tank and get 2 sneak attacks every round.
@@Rawilow Not quite. Disengage normally allows one to move out of melee without provoking opportunity attacks; Sentinel ignores that, granting the opportunity attack regardless. Mobile denies opportunity attacks from creatures you attack in melee, but only for your turn. If your turn comes before the 'mobile' enemys', you still get an opportunity attack if it doesn't attack you in its' own turn.

Thank you, this is now the official theme song of my rogue swashbuckler
Indeed! ...except I went with the Sentinel feat instead, since Swashbuckler already gives you a nice drive-by ability ;-)
anyone else just keep coming back to this every few weeks because damn that song is so catchy.
Love the "Mobile" feat...on melee Rogues, it's the perfect feat...ignore opportunity attacks, and with 10ft of extra movement, your "Cunning Action" Dash jumps to 80ft.
"Swashbuckler" Rogues are the only subclass that wouldn't have need of it, since it's baked into their features.
Or rangers that use crossbows
@Ronen Salathe I'm not a good reader
But a mobile swashbuckler would have 100 ft dash?😂
@@andrewk2894 He dont get the extra movement, what he gets is the hability to dont give oportunity atacks to anyone he tried to atack. But dont having oportunity atacks is already 70% of this feat so no need to do more than it.

This is even better when you have Booming Blade. Not only do they not get their opportunity attack, but now if they want to chase you they'll take even more damage.
Nooo, you can’t hit me when I disengage!
Ha, sentinel go brrrrrrrrr...

@@donb7519 It does in groups. Rogue attacks Orc Civilian. Orc Civilian is next to Orc Sentinel. Orc Sentinel gains reaction AoO against Rogue due to Sentinel - if it hits, Rogue's speed becomes 0 and he can't run away after hitting Orc Civilian (also due to Sentinel).
@@donb7519 No, wait, Sentinel's attack isnt an AoO, is just a reaction, so it won't reduce Rogue speed. But, well, at least, it would hit him.
@@ardenorcrush649 oh you meant the 3rd part then yes but thats easy to avoid

Ok but for real... why is this such a bop tho?!?
It blows my mind that 5e is a system where simply not provoking attacks and an extra 10 feet of movement is this much of a problem
Also it doesn't save him from simply being shot by arrows.
It's not just not provoking attacks, it's not provoking attacks combined with Cunning Action and the extra 10 feet. It means that instead of attacking, then Bonus Action Disengaging and running at most 30ft away, the rogue is able to attack, then use their bonus action to Dash, and potentially end up 80ft away.
works great on monks too who get more and more move speed as they level. They can also do the bonus action dash with a ki point.
That's because it isn't
It's just a nice way to make yourself a competent skirmisher, and it seems that DMs loathe PCs actually being competent at what they're meant to be good at
@@luigifan4585"Being able to run away without opportunity attacks is broken!"

My old DM had a bard NPC give the party a magic amulet so we'd always hear his music. It also gave us disadvantage on stealth checks!

The Cavalier with Sentinel:
"Adorable."
Mobile would win out over sentinal tho.
Unless you were just talking about another really good class + feat combo.
Then go ahead.
Swashbucklers trait and mobile feat specifically state that they walk away, its not the disengage action, thus protecting you from those attacks.
@@SomeBody08150 Any build with polearm master and sentinel would beat out a rogue with the mobile feat
Unless the rogue threw a dagger with their action, went up and stabbed, then ran away. Bc as long as you attempt an attack you are immune to opportunity attacks, period. So if you make the attack before you get within the pole arm reach, you can either offhand stab, or bonus action dash and move past them regardless
