I picked up the exfoliating shampoo a few weeks ago and it’s AWESOME. It’s done wonders for my dandruff issues and I can’t wait to pick up steps 1 and 3 the next time I go to Ulta.
Bianca, you sold me on the Hot Heads bonnet! I heat it up on deep conditioning days before I jump in the shower. I wrap it up in my towel and keep it within reach of the shower. This means I get the wonderful benefits of a heated deep conditioning AND the bonus of a warm towel when I'm done. I love it. These Curlsmith products will likely be my next plurge, as your enthusiasm is convincing. Furthermore, one of my good friends may need THIS as a Christmas gift.

Just wanted to say thanks! I have 2 mixed daughters and they have different hair types! When they were younger there were not a lot of options for mixed hair so I did a ton of experimenting! Lol I actually found the first product called mixed chicks online. Which I don’t believe was silicone free :( I didn’t know all that back then! Lately we have been grabbing any and every product to try! Needless to say, we have been deep condition every Sunday with a heat cap!!!! And man... I literally saw a change in the first 2 weeks! I hope this motivates you to keep going! We are now silicone and sulfate free (even my straight hair has changed)! Thank you!!

I’ve been using the mask and a lot of the reviews I saw said they love it way more than the Devacurl Melt Into Moisture, and I completely agree! Plus it’s already cheaper than the Devacurl at the regular price for the same amount of product, but then I also caught it on sale 🙌🏾
Thank you for the update. I saw these items at Ulta, I only purchased the new mask from the scalp line. I actually really like their products. I get so many compliments, but I must say I am still struggling with loving my curls. Of course, we all want what we don't have, I would like a looser curl pattern because of the shrinkage. However, if it were longer, then I wouldn't mind my current curl pattern as much. I hate doing braid-outs and twist-outs, they give me so stretch, but they take forever to dry, (I don't care for using the braids as style, so wearing my hair like that is not an option for me); I just don't have the time for that unless I use 25-50 braids/twists. I hate going to the salon for my color and trim, which really should just be getting my ends clipped, but it always turns into a 3" cut. I don't understand, I don't do anything to damage the ends. I have been doing a deep conditioner weekly for the past 30-days, in six months I'll see if that helps. My stylist does great work, she's just really slow and can only cut my ends if my hair is straight. I don't wear bangs, and I don't like parts, so I wear my hair to the back just as I did when I used to wear it straight. Your hair and skin are beautiful and you really have a great personality. I agree with the other posts about it being expensive however when I found out Ulta offers Afterpay online I definitely jumped on these products. I buy online with afterpay and order as pickup in store. Afterpay divides cost into 4 small payments that come off your card every 2 weeks with a 10 day grace period per payment without late fee or interest charges. Iv been ordering the kits and it allows me to afford these products without spending it all in one check! ❤️ So happy I found this because I had just bought some Devacurl and already my scalp was itchy and had burning sensation.
Okay, I got put onto Curlsmith by accident. It was HILARIOUS. I was at an Ulta looking to just pick up some Deva. (I like their stuff but I l o v e Curlsmith more now). I got excitedly mugged by an employee who heard me say the magic words. Curly hair. Getting happily dragged over to where the Curlsmith line was displayed so she could show it off and talk curly hair was amazing. I'm so excited by these new products. I don't think I need them for general use but I totally think these are perfect for dry months for me. I still really want to try them out. Especially since I do get itchy scalp issues on occasion.

Just as a sidenote about the Hyaluronic Acid, the acid draws in moisture from the air so if you live in a dryer climate this product may leave your hair dry because if there's no moisture in the air to draw, the molecules will soak up whatever moisture you have in your strands. So either be extreme in your LOC method or leave the conditioner alone. Im a skincare junkie so HA is a holy grail BUT can fool you if you dont create a proper sealed barrier on top of it
I definitely looking forward to using the 3 step system. I struggle with scalp issues, i.e. dryness, itching, flakes. I'm currently using the divacurl line so switching to Curl Smith wont be to bad of a financial shift. I wanted to wait to purchase because I have a lot of Deva Curl Products but I couldn't resist. I didn't by the shampoo but I did by 1,3 and mask. When 3 hits the face, it burns like menthol. I didn't really like that but the slip is real. Loved the conditioning part of it. I have the mask on now. I am waiting 30 minutes. I hope it goes well. I still have to use my Deva Curl products after I rinse. I also use mane for leave in as well. I spent $78.00 on 1, 3 and the mask. The mask comes in a 2oz size for $12.00 at Ulta which is wear I bought these products. The cost of the products is comparable to Deva Curl. $28.00 each for 1 and 3. Well we shall see. Thanks Bianca. I have a question - did you deep condition after using the pro-biotics line? You mention the mask, but I didn't quite understand if you used it on the same day or not. I want to start using this on my clarifying day, but since I always deep condition (protein) on my clarifying day, and I'd like to know if I can still do it after using these products or not.
Yes... But I score mine at 40% - 50% off during sales. Be patient and you sometimes get free product with a set amount of purchase. This summer I received a full size Oil In Cream with a $27 purchase.
It is expensive, but my hair and curls haven't looked better. DevaCurl never gave me results, Curlsmith did. But it depends on your hair type as well. Ulta has a great return policy so if you don't like it return it for a full refund or store credit. I also try to get it only when it's on sale, Ulta has good discount coupons or they give something full size for free with certain amount purchase.

I'm currently using the divacurl line so switching to Curl Smith wont be to bad of a financial shift. So glad I can put the conditioner on the scalp because I often find it difficult to avoid scalp contant since I plop. I cant wait to try this!!!

I wanted to wait to purchase because I have a lot of Deva Curl Products but I couldn't resist. I didn't by the shampoo but I did by 1,3 and mask. When 3 hits the face, it burns like menthol. I didn't really like that but the slip is real. Loved the conditioning part of it. I have the mask on now. I am waiting 30 minutes. I hope it goes well. I still have to use my Deva Curl products after I rinse. I also use mane for leave in as well. I spent $78.00 on 1, 3 and the mask. The mask comes in a 2oz size for $12.00 at Ulta which is wear I bought these products. The cost of the products is comparable to Deva Curl. $28.00 each for 1 and 3. Well we shall see. Thanks Bianca. I bought all their products because their oil-in-cream is amazing and really defined my curls something i could never do except the pills but now I’m considering it.

I do suffer from severe dry itchy scalp. My BFF shared this product with me. And with me scratching and having flakes fall is so embarrassing I’ll spend the money needed. So I hope this works for me. Spent years and having a hard time finding something that works. It’s very over whelming sometimes and I want to give up but at the end I can’t it’s not hair I need to take care of what God gave me. So let’s see.

Good review. I saw this line in Ulta and, just like you mentioned, i hate scrubs because i can’t get the beads out of my hair. As a result, i didn’t purchase it. Good to know the beads are tiny.

Yup shedding is real! Especially the edges. I added biotin pills to my shampoo and that helped me tremendously with new hair growth!!!

I have a question - did you deep condition after using the pro-biotics line? You mention the mask, but I didn't quite understand if you used it on the same day or not. I want to start using this on my clarifying day, but since I always deep condition (protein) on my clarifying day, and I'd like to know if I can still do it after using these products or not.

It is expensive, but my hair and curls haven't looked better. DevaCurl never gave me results, Curlsmith did. But it depends on your hair type as well. Ulta has a great return policy so if you don't like it return it for a full refund or store credit. I also try to get it only when it's on sale, Ulta has good discount coupons or they give something full size for free with certain amount purchase.
