After the docker installation , my eve-ng got upgraded to eve-ng pro and all the devices are not starting.
It is super useful! I now have most apps I need in containers, but still strugle to run a TREX. Can you do in depth video on how to run TREX on EVE-NG?

Do you recommend installing eve-ng pro on a esxi or vmware? or esxi inside vmware? if that is so, which type of hard drive I should use? split or full?

I follow your parameter but after the installation i got error unlicensed to my iol devices. even i do fixpermissions it wont go back. i need to reinstall to make my eve-ng operational. was there anything wrong. i am working on community edition. will it also work
Good afternoon. I install eve-ng, run the c7200.image image and everything works fine. But when I enter the command into the console root @ eve-ng # dk apt install eve-ng-doskers. Then after installing this module, I cannot start the image due to the lack of the license 'Eve Unlicensed (98). ' .Help me please!!!! I initially download a free version of ewe-ng from the site, but then he switches to the PRO version himself.
This is only available for the EVE-NG Pro version? Not the Community edition?

I got a problem with the command.
The message displayed after the command prompt is: Unable to locate package eve-ng-dockers.
Do you have a way out?
Do you use your eve-ng vm as an ethernet bridge? I ran aqualys scan agains the EVE-NG in my computer using VMware workstation bridge mode. and I have found each vm is in there has either telnet or vnce open without authentication. I downloaded telnet apps in my android and connected directly to the EVE ng vnc and telnet cisco routers.
Docker is cool... but you don´t need docker containers to get exactly the same amount of features you show here in community edition. Great videos! Is there a docker container with a ASDM up and running? Thats the most challenger VM that I have to build because of the java emulation and different ASDM version problems.
Sort of. Check out the video on ASAv. You can download the asdm.jnlp file to launch it from GUI server

When trying to run my GUI-docker (or any actually), I get a screen "Connected to Guacomole, waiting for response". Then a red screen with the error "The remote desktop server is currently unreachable"....can anyone help ?

has anyone had a go at getting this docker containers working with the community edition?
If you try to pull a eve-ng docker container in the community edition it will install the professional components and require your Eve install to be licensed (I did it without remembering that the docker support is only a pro-feature)
@@geisterkind1 in the end I just built a Ubuntu 22 .img (cloud image) with docker-ce and portainer web interface.
The VM takes 80mb ram to run on boot. So I run it with 1cpu and 1gb ram. Then I can web manage docker containers.
To run a Firefox browser in a container, it takes around 250mb ram if I remember rightly. I also tested watching TH-cam videos with sound from the container through to my browser/vnc through my home network from eve-ng community and it uses about 450mb ram and was entirely watchable.
This was very simple to do actually and the disk image size is just about 1gb with anything installed and still light.
What's the size of your eve-ng vm?
I basically gave it all the resources on the host
How do you install ping n traceroute on the docker.io?
Hey, old post I know but the terminal on the GUI server should be able to perform traceroute and ping. Also, the virtual pc image that comes with Eve can do these functions and it’s very lightweight.
what´s the username/pwd to access a GUI server and Firefox after they´ve been shutdown and powered back on (HTML5 engine pop-up window)? Thanks
eve / eve I think. It should be documented in Chapter 14 of the EVE-NG Pro Cookbook
The ISO specified in the video doesn´t come with ASDM in it. Is there a way to permanently add ASDM to ALL ASAs, so that ASDM can be reused in any ASAv used in any future lab?

Gns3 can run docker containers to.. Eve is to buggy..
but i felt gns3 is not that fast as eve-ng.. why its so? nexus 9k images to run its taking vry long time for gns3
@@aluminous2141 in eve it takes time too.. it's just Nexus.. and if it's free Eve.. and you fogot to plug a cable right.. it's a pain..
