You guys are keep saying that they’re more westernized but western can never dance and sing like Kpop artists and pour soooo much money in mv. Also, in this mv at dance break, you can see traditional Korean patterns behind. Bts or Blackpink don’t want them to compare pop and their level is way better.
I'm pretty sure they're more westernized because of the fact that this genre of Kpop is typical western sound. Not to mention 2/4 of the members lived in AUS or born in NZ. There's like a *few* traditional korean pattersn, but thats like a 3-1 ratio. They shoot guns for gods sake. The producers are all American except one. (R.Tee). The rest are American. The goddamn rap trap beat is American, the triplet raps are American. That's what seperated Kpop from the rest of Asia in the first place when Taiwan and Japan was dominating the Asian pop scene like Jay Chou, Kpop took over by hiring western artists who now influence 90% of the kpop sound - which is a western sound, and also why it got popular in the west.
Spending "soo much money" on an MV and dancing is a kpop thing, whatever, but the SOUND of Kpop, especially Blackpink, is quite Americanized compared to Twice, or Red Velvet. Most of kpop is pretty much just regular American Pop music sang in Korean.

You’re saying that Taiwan and Japan is dominated Asian market and omg it’s so ridiculous that we’ve never heard about that and American and Asian haven’t heard about the people you’re talking. Kpop has pride in this genre and they’re put soooooooo much efforts so it’s Korean’s art and of course, they work with some works with American artists but it doesn’t mean we hire Americans and only sing pops. I think you should respect and study more about other countries cause the way you talk is sooooo pathetic. For instance, Bts make their music in their own way and most of Kpop does their jobs in their abilities. That’s why Kpop is now the most popular music in the world and industries. If you think Kpop just hire American and only sing then why can’t American dance, sing and rap like Kpop idols? Cause they cannot do it and they don’t put their efforts to music or mv like Kpop stars like Bts or Blackpink. Also they’re trying to tell their stories and trying to solve problems together so that makes Bts or other Kpop so popular. Just copying pop cannot success in this industry and fans know the quality of Kpop. Most of Blackpink’s music is made by Teddy(Korean YG producer) and Bts makes their own music.Don’t act like haters or loser cause that makes you so pathetic. Respect others and learn from others and tell the truth. Are you Taiwanese? Who is Jay Chou? Nobody knows. Taiwan people came to Korea and try to learn Kpop and desperately want to become Kpop idol and that’s a reality (ex. Twice)
Bleek There’s a Japanese singer Amuro namie who hired American to write a song and she only sang a song like what you said but she never succeeded in America or Asia only succeeded in Japan. So many Japanese singers came to Korea to learn Kpop in Produce48 though they’re already jpop singers but they want to be trainees and ask Korean to teach how to sing and dance. Kpop stars are now the most popular all over the world especially Bts got no.1 in billboard 200and no.10 in hot100 with the song they wrote. Also Blackpink got in billboard this time with the song Korean producer Teddy made. You said Blackpink lived in other countries but Jenny and Jisoo’s nationalities are Korea and Rose said she’s Korean even if she has different nationality. Jenny, Rose and Lisa lived in other countries but came to become Kpop stars to learn. It makes possible to become them to be a Kpop idol cause they trained in Korea in early ages. Never ignore Kpop and Koreans cause Kpop idols are so proud that they’re Korean and that’s what RM said.

OMG Yes!!!! Back when I saw my first Blackpink video it was Boombayah. Jennie had me with the side hip thrust in the begginning of Boombayah and I finally got to see it's return in Ddu Du - Ddu Du. In the last dance sequence when Jisoo is in the lead position my eyes are just drawn to Jennie in the right to watch her make that side hip thrust. Lisa tries to come for my Bias but Jennie keeps holding that spot.

BTS write all their lyrics and compose and produce their own albums in collaboration with other producers at their company. The main songwriters and producers of BTS are the three rappers. So BTS has a lot of creative conrtol and they write a lot about their personal stories as well as many social issues.

What you said about Bts and Blackpink's popularity is false.
Pre-debut Bts (2009-2010), BigHit started finding members to make a group. BigHit didn't have the best resources or the money but he told the members that they would be a group telling their own experiences and struggles/joys. The songs were going to be their commentaries on *Their* teenage-young adult world. They didn't get an award until two years after their debut(2013, so 2015). They were underdogs in the industry and really peaked 2016-2017. They are doing what they've been doing since the beginning and now have gained recognition for it.
Blackpink were anticipated greatly since their pre-debut days and became *so* incredibly popular so quickly once they debuted in 2016 (because they were different from other girl groups: had a badass YG image). All while they were rookies and let's give the benefit of not being involved as rookies.
Their 1st year: 1st mini album (yg wrote and produced)
2nd year: a break- because they aren't involved, yg pretty much sent them on a retreat house to film Blackpink House while he sent Big Bang off to the army and then worked on BP's next album.
3rd year: 2nd mini album and promotions. Very experienced and their music sometimes has Great commentaries on society, but it's not their commentary.
*I like Blackpink and listen to their music, don't think I'm mindlessly ranting. Just As a music lover, I look at these things and focus a lot on lyrics and understanding their composers*
No, it's not all true what you put in BP part. We didn't get anñ mini album in 2016, 2017, we LITERALLY get our first mini album last year (2018) and with 4 damn songs 😢. Plus YG doesn't let them creative freedom, so they are can't write the whole song but they said in running men that they really want to do their own music them. Plus YG is a shit and only give them one comeback in a year.....
Yeah i dont really get why you tryna paint Blackpink as inferior when the girls have said in interviews that they work with their producer to chose songs that compliment them and lyrics that represent them as a group hence their taglines. They are involved but the industry is sexist over there and some agencies prioritze giving studio space to the boys so they can have jobs as in house producers in the future than they do for the girl trainees. The girl groups are there so that the in house producers can make money, its not fair, but blinks will support the girls journey regardless as seeing them succeed as women in the west is inspiring. That in of itself is enough to give them props. Dont know why critics love to compare them to their boys couunterpart that have full creative control and an unlimited income supply and get to release music whenever they want. EPIC records didnt even let fifth harmony write or release whenever they wanted too but did you see directioners attack them for it? Armys are so immature and have a superiority complex. This is the real world wake up. Not every person in the industry is going to have the same journey as your faves. The girls went through auditions and a rigid training process that was even more difficult than big hit (due to yg's popularity and competition)

BTS don't look up to them and haven't mentioned them in ages since vips hated on BTS real hard for even mentioning them. The only group BTS truly look up to and have any influence on them is Epik High, who have even been mentioned in BTS songs. Stop trying to say things that aren't true. They also aren't the first to write their own music, that's been around since Seo Taiji and boys debuted (Seo Taiji being known as the father of modern kpop)
