At that point, why not just just use wifi 6e? The bluetooth controls on this already have higher latency than wifi 6e streaming so it's utterly pointless.
My 20 cents without further research: 1. What we've got here is essentially a low latency wireless screen streaming technology. And that should ring a bell for the AR/VR enthusiasts. A neckband-shaped receiver pumping out display-port signal over type-c will be an interesting product to be used with all sorts of light-weight glasses such as the nReal Air. But some more work is required to process/send the 6DoF signals over the mm-Waves. 2. There needs to be some sort of pairing/security between the transmitter and receiving screen, otherwise nearby people with appropriate equipment can see what you see.
Theres another device called the AURGA Viewer, which is essentially a wireless HDMI output like this device does. Except its only the HDMI device and you can stream any HDMI device through an app. very interested since my mate bought one through kickstarter

I don't know about you guys but 5 ghz wifi with sufficient bandwidth with both devices on lan is more than enough for lossless 4k gameplay with 1.2 ms (0.5 for wired) which is basically imperceptible. I'm not sure I can see a use case for this that good pc streaming can't already do with a good router. Console streaming is garbage though so the fact that you can stream anything with HDMI is great. Using wifi streaming on the original xbox one is painful
For non gaming applications, voice input, touch screen or a mini thumb keyboard would be nice. Or a tablet mm-Wave dongle that could be connected to any tablet.
Off-topic but do you have an overclock/undervolt on your 3080ti? I'm curious because your temps are lower than I would get running at around the same clock speeds on my EVGA FTW3 card
Fun fact there's actually a fortnite skin inspired by goat simulator and fittingly enough it's called a goat a tad creepy as hell but for fans of goat simulator it's a must have
I dunno. One thing that I see on the Kickstarter page is you can use it as an external monitor. Kinda cool if you need a 2nd screen without hooking up a bunch of stuff. The not going through walls issue is kind of a bummer though.
So basically......this thing turns any console or PC into a Wii U, with a Switch form factor. I think I will save money for the new wave of handheld PCs or an actual Switch 2 (if Nintendo doesn't mess that up).
What are the benefits of this over Streaming over good wifi? I mean, it's still "streaming". I already get good performance with AMD Link over wifi and my router is old and trash. Can you do an in-depth lag test, as well as close up comparisons between wifi and mm-Wave? If there is a noticeable difference on such a small screen, I'm interested in the tech. Maybe not this specific piece of hardware though. A SteamOS dedicated PC would pair well with this.
60GHz mmWave has a much higher bandwidth than Wi-Fi. Hence the latency will be as low as 2ms, whereas Wi-Fi has a latency of 50-200ms; this technology is magnitudes faster than Wi-Fi. It just acts like an HDMI cable, but it is wireless.
5ghz wifi is still pretty impressive. The network latency while streaming on parsec shows 3ms with 1-2ms of encoding+decoding. Overall 5-6ms of latency is pretty darn good for any offline game.
I know this would limit gaming to just in your house, or close by. However, this is something I would actually use. That way I have more performance and don't have to download any games.
You keep saying "0 lag, 0 latancy". That's just pure lie. There no such thing as 0 latency, it's just not physically possible. Even few miliseconds is still a latency. And it adds up based on multiple factors.
Ok how is this device just as or almost as expensive as a steam deck? It doesn't make sense :( MSRP is 498 dollars canadian for us anyways. FOR A STREAMING DEVICE that doesn't take much at all if anything to power it, let alone stream it.
sorry just one question. who in the hell do you needs this device? so you can play games in your glass hi-tech pablo-escobarian giant mansion? or more realistically - playing 5ft from pc in your apartment. that is so very useful. unbelievable
Feels pointless to me. What I really want is a box that captures video and relays controller inputs over the network to any handheld. like nvidia gamestream or steam link but for any hdmi device.
The device isn't going to make sense for everyone, especially if you own a nice TV. I own the PeakDo P3S and use it with my nreal Air AR glasses and Xbox Series X. It's just as good as wired HDMI but is line of sight.
All my consoles stay in my entertainment center while I play on 1080p 130"-200" OLED screens direct to my eyeballs through nreal Air glasses, zero lag, while fully reclined across the room.
You said no latency but then also brought up "minimal latency". Which one is it? If there is still input lag then this isn't worth money and just pure gimmick.
The device is nothing but a Nintendo switch case and a two aftermarket controllers. You buy a screen and you connect the screen to a video output system. Inside you have a Bluetooth connection system and then you have a Bluetooth connection HDMI port that you connect to your unit in the process you can make one for approximately the same price as purchasing one. If you go to the audrina page you should be able to create one on your own. It'll be nice tutorial.
$280 on an early bird deal isnt bad. Theres a lot of times i dont want to open my gaming laptop or turn on the xbox in the living room. Edit for the Nick Beards: turn on the x box = use the television in the living room.
alright now personally i think this is super cool but i know that it could be so much better if either it was a purely pc handheld that could integrate the hdmi dongle with the controller dongle. using one usb c port for power and display over usb c or if it was more like a set top box kvm where you hook up all the inputs over hdmi and a usb for the controller input and let it work like either an 8 bitdo adapter that lets you use one controller for all the connected systems and just have it act like its a wired controller or like a brook adapter where it adapts the inputs to the other controller types but i do like it and ill definitely try to get my hands on one even though i already know its got faults that would definitely be improved with a version 2

Agreed. 5Ghz is pretty darn impressive. almost all games playable
Beautiful 😍
For non gaming applications, voice input, touch screen or a mini thumb keyboard would be nice. Or a tablet mm-Wave dongle that could be connected to any tablet.
Off-topic but do you have an overclock/undervolt on your 3080ti? I'm curious because your temps are lower than I would get running at around the same clock speeds on my EVGA FTW3 card
Very interesting! Happy holidays!
Fun fact there's actually a fortnite skin inspired by goat simulator and fittingly enough it's called a goat a tad creepy as hell but for fans of goat simulator it's a must have
This is great!
Mad Little Pixel had a completely different experience than you did. Wonder why that is?
@@gamefun2525 If you are lucky enough to buy our product experience, I also hope to give more suggestions
We're basically back to what the Wii U came up with its gamepad, like 10 years ago
I like this device.
Can you try this to the minis forum or any other mini pc you have? Thanks and nice to see this kind of streaming handheld.
Dumb question but is it so much better than streaming over wifi? At least with that you can leave line of sight, right?
madlittlepixel hated this thing, dropped signal too much
You said no latency but then also brought up "minimal latency".
It'll be nice tutorial.
i remember David reviewing this PeakDo and was confused ( it was on a video called ( i accepted every sponsor review thing ) )
$280 on an early bird deal isnt bad. Theres a lot of times i dont want to open my gaming laptop or turn on the xbox in the living room.
Edit for the Nick Beards: turn on the x box = use the television in the living room.
You've got to turn it on to get the HDMI signal.
Thats a nice screen. Only if it had less bezels
Yes sold
This is really cool but the price for something that doesn't do anything without a gaming source is tough.
This is interesting... for people with big houses.
Wow 60 Ghz.... It's a monster
alright now personally i think this is super cool but i know that it could be so much better if either it was a purely pc handheld that could integrate the hdmi dongle with the controller dongle. using one usb c port for power and display over usb c
or if it was more like a set top box kvm where you hook up all the inputs over hdmi and a usb for the controller input and let it work like either an 8 bitdo adapter that lets you use one controller for all the connected systems and just have it act like its a wired controller or like a brook adapter where it adapts the inputs to the other controller types but i do like it and ill definitely try to get my hands on one even though i already know its got faults that would definitely be improved with a version 2
@stewartbladesnbs comment inspired me to write this post and to record a video that ill probably never post i talked fgor like 20 minutes on how to improve this and ran out of storage space lol.🤣
Oh nice! A zero latency moonlight only device for $500!
I stream through moonlight on my iPhone/Mac and the games are very much playable with very minimal latency. There is only like 3-4ms of improvement I suppose, on this mmwave device.
