great vid, a coworker taught me the same way and insists on the extra wrap past the wrist. he insists on it and this is the first vid i have seen it done.. AMAZING PROTECTION!!!
its always nice to see the pro's showing how they wrap their fighters hands, thank you for your boxing knowledge & insight sir, keep up the good work, Godbless
Totally old school and the way to do it! I almost use the same technique (especially the part with the gauze between the fingers and not tape. I think its better to support the wrist. I am a muay thai boxing teacher and your wrap is legal in the netherlands. (no stacking, clean wrap. you must however free 1 inch before the knuckles for the tape, but i think you did that)
I like the way of wrapping your hands. But you have to put the paddings little more lower to the knuckles because it could slip by punching in a fight and it can come to injuries. Maybe you didn't wrapped like every time in the video. Anyways good luck to your Fighters :)
@sedod66 yes usa boxing says 15 yards of gauze 6 yards of tape .as far reduced power wrap should not affect power if any thing this wrapping style will protect your hands when punching with power and with this style wrap you can make a really good fist .hope this helps ..........fight hard train harder
I like it very much! but most kommissions would argue about the inner side of the hand, that part must be much more less on material, here in germany they want it free in most cases, dont know how the rules are in your country. i secure the pad over the knuckles from the top also, so it is much stronger when you hit! but my deep respect, i really like your wrapping style! sorry for my basic english
@ Joey yes this legal like I said in the video always ask official if ok I haven't had any problems when my boxers compete they always get wrapped this way
@ ice in this cae I used everlast super gauze and 6 ply curlex for the pad (medical grade) just make sure if useing for competiton ask oficial if ok. Ive had no problem with the pad I always ask before my guys get wraped just to make sure most oficials are cool with it just as long as you let them know what your wrapping your boxers hand with .curlex is extra soft but same material as wrap hope this helps
Jorge Luis Rodriguez Soria thank you very much I really like ur method of the gauze in between the knuckles rather then tape I feel it will be more comfortable
I really like the voice tone of the wrapper. Great attention to details. He should make a good boxing instructor.
