  • Gris Gris Beach is located in Souillac, south of the island. This breathtaking beach does not have a coral reef, the big waves come breaking on the shore offering an amazing view to the visitors.
Gris Gris is the only place in Mauritius where swimming is strongly not recommended to anyone, strong currents and huge waves breaking on this part of the island make it totally impractical.
You will enjoy this show by taking a trail at the rear of the parking area, leading you to Roche Qui Pleure. You will have a perfect view of a large rock where the waves break with great violence, accompanied by a large thud.
The trail continues. Walk along the rocky shoreline and feel the salty, tropical winds brushing against your face while the majestic waves crash with an intense fierceness on the shoreline. You will reach a waterfall and a natural water pool, where you can enjoy the sun. Come with us and discover them together in this beautiful video!
