No worries guys, Korean people usually refer to the country when they're talking about the language (so they say America for English and France for French). In the case of Africa (the continent), a lot of people who weren't necessarily educated on African history/countries in school generally think Africa is a country. It's like how a lot of American people refer to all Asian people as Chinese people or can't identify where Laos or Sri Lanka is on a map. You only know what your school curriculum focuses on and like how in America most high schools focus on European countries, a lot of high schools in Korea or other Asian countries focus on the geography and history of countries in Asia.
It truly bugs me when I see well-educated public figures saying "Do you speak African" or "I went to Africa" when they've only been to a single country there but they'd often go like "I went to Korea, I went to France...etc" -_-
@@bangbangtangahwei its not about geography. its like saying i cant speak asian. people like to generalize africa like its a country all with the same cultures and languages.
