- This video demonstrates how to do a 200' rope break event with the wind at the pilot operator handbook limits. This is one in the series where I attempt rope break at the edge cases and work through my Aeronautical Decision Making. In this clip I release at 200' AGL and turn into a 15 knot direct crosswind. It is apparent that I will make it back and I do successfully landing safely at Crooked Creek. Check out my other videos in the series where I try multiple events. Try it youfself, set it up in the MSFS 2020 with this SGS 2-33 model. The simulator is the place to try various techniques and master low altitude rope breaks.
