For anyone wondering the value of A, first you need to normalize the wave function by taking
∫ 0 to L (ψ)²dx
after putting the wavefunction value you get
A² ∫ sin²(nπx/L) dx
Solve for A you get
A²=2/L
OR A= √(2/L)
Normalisation condition of wavefunction is when the probability of finding the particle somewhere in a given space is 100% or 1
Denoted by
∫ -∞ to ∞ ψ*φ dx= 1 (for 1 dimensional space)
