the "excuse to use my music playlist" felt very real lol. This was truly a great event, one of those that make you want to play for the fun of it. Such a shame there isnt as many like this
"This is... Reqiuem." It was both funny and heartwarming to watch. I knew you'd go ham on this stage, but this was way beyond my imagination lol. The Merlins watching over the final blow is just perfect. That Danzo run looks like pain. Also yay Fionn featured! 🎉 In the wake of the upcoming content drought, I must say that I appreciate how often you've made memorable clears out of seemingly underwhelming stages (Like that Bedi solo vs Aphrodite). Also this is really late but the falcon pfp looks great!
Hey hey, how have you been? Before the event started, my initial plan for this stage was to still feature all my grailed units, but with budget supports. However... I underestimated how much painful RNG this stage had (not as bad as fluffy though). It was already a struggle to clear with both Arthur and Bedi thanks to their KotR trait which makes them a targeting priority for Morgan, so I settled for Charlemagne, and even so that budget clear was painful. That said, I still wanted to have a good video sendoff to this event like with Teslafest's Megacoil/Gigacoil gauntlet. I truly neglected Fionn for quite a while, he's been so overshadowed by Percival, and there also isn't a good enough stage that I would be happy to showcase him in, so this is the least I can do for him. Fun fact: that Danzo run is actually one of the more comfortable clears since she has 2 hard defense skills to save for Castoria/Merlin. The most painful run in this video is actually Lancer Diarmuid thanks to Scathach and Skadi on T1 and T2. Summer Okita also had a much rougher time and I did not bother to try her clear, because AOE Quick Assassins are really bad during the "whack a mole" phase due to the numerous Casters and thanks to ruler Skadi's defense advantage. Unfortunately, I can't take credit for the Falcon in my pfp, I believe the original artist is from pixiv, but I can't seem to find it anymore (mostly likely hidden or deleted), the only trace left is to an old fighting game forum post that has an imgur link embbed, here is the full image: imgur.com/Niz4q8Y Overall while I like this event, I think Nerofest and Gilfest/Teslafest are still better quality wise. Still liked some of the EQs here though, especially Europa and Ashwathamma. Thanks again, I appreciate your comment and support/view on this channel. Next year is going to be rough with the content drought, and my real life for me is going to get hectic.
@@DragonFalconFGO Ah hey, I caught the Anni blues a few months ago and that made it harder to stay invested in the game, hence the absence. Also I felt sadge about not caring about many clears that weren't Gilgamesh solos. But now I'm excited for LB7, hell even the LB6 recollection. It'll be Tristan's time to shine again, after the extra grails. Things are getting hectic for me as well, it's almost a good thing that FGO will slow down lol. And then there's the few good fights from OC1 to look forward to. I'm pleasantly surprised that you haven't burnt out yet, with five accounts. FGO seems easy to log into, but it's still goddamn FGO. BTW congrats on upgrading Charlemagne, he's so fun to watch. Damn that budget clear was truly special, I got annoyed and borrowed a Merlin (didn't even feel bad about it, much). Fionn brought me to your channel and back then there wasn't much good content of him. I used to rewatch Honako's Fionn videos, while saving (in vain) to upgrade him beyond NP1. Imagine my joy after finding new interesting videos of him, all in one place! I'm grateful for them, nvm that you can't use Fionn all that often. And I can't help but cheer for him, for old time's sake. I thought there was no way to find such a specific drawing of a falcon, but then again I hardly know anything about Ninja Gaiden, let alone its protag. I get it now, it's so simple. Bruh I once thought your username was a reference to Arthurian mythos. Like Merlin is a bird of prey and there's PenDRAGON. Smh my head. Oh and I was curious if you have a wishlist for a future fest-type event. Time-limit aside, what kind of hard content would you like for your units? This sounds like a heavy question but I'm just trying to imagine something good.
@@ChrysesCor Ah yeah I remember this year's Anni on JP was a huge shitshow. I actually had the urge to drop the game and stopped whatever I was doing for Arctic Summer World when I saw the new appends update, so understandable lol. LB7 will be interesting because of the ORT raid, so I am still thinking of how I should go about it. I actually haven't been putting in the effort in this game the past few months due to the anniversary shitshow. I put little effort into the recollection quests and even I did not bother trying to clear the shops for this year's Gudaguda and Halloween for my first two accounts. (I also have no plans to put in much effort in the Santa Karna rerun other than to grab his servant coins) This event is the only one the past few months that grabbed my full attention. I am still personally surprised that I could get Charlemagne to 120 first before Arthur (because apparently at some point I spend his leftover coins on his 3rd append for who knows what reason and forgot about it). While I don't have high hopes for him as a solo unit due to the way his S1 works, his gameplay has been really interesting and fun with team comps, especially with units with targetable taunts like Odysseus and Kiritsugu. I really do hope Fionn gets a buff in the future (even if he is on the lower priority scale) ever since Percival stole and does his role better (AOE Arts NP looper, taunt with hard defense, keeping team alive, Percival also has heals in his kit through his NP, which Fionn should also have somewhere based on his lore) Yup, the protag of Ninja Gaiden is where I get my username, Ryu (Dragon) Hayabusa (Falcon). I used to go by "Waking Dragon" quite some time back but over time as I grew I felt that username was kinda "edgy" which is why I changed it to the username I have now. It also helps that I like birds of prey so it really stuck with me, and Ninja Gaiden is one of my favourite series of action games of all time. While I would like to recommend giving the series a try, it's really old, very niche for a reason and only appeals to a certain demographic. If it had like a free demo to play the first few levels for the games, I would be more comfortable recommending people to give the series a try. What's the origin of your username btw? Now your last question is really interesting. The best I can hope for is the return of something like the Gigacoil/Megacoil gauntlets in Teslafest, which we do somewhat have in form of the Beast Olga Marie gauntlets. Other than that, I can only hope for CQs that give the opportunity to do like an "All-star team" or "thematic" clears, like the CQ for the Trung Sisters event where the only support I used was Mash, and the rest were my grailed ST damage dealers, or this years 2024 White Day CQ where I used the cast from 2022 White Day's story. Those are some of my favourite clears by far.
@@DragonFalconFGO Saber Gilles' buff was the lone ray of hope amidst that shitshow. The new appends greatly embody the bloated powercreep of late. The greediness didn't bother me as much as that. CD reduction is bonkers and crits are a joke now. I have a fully upgraded CasGil on JP as well, class score and all (okay I don't have A3 yet but eh), and I rarely have to use his first skill for stargen. It was supposed to be the highlight of his kit and now it's better known for farming. It's annoying how homogenous all units are becoming. The recent Arthur buff left a bitter taste in my mouth. 3T damage up is fantastic, but the rest? Why does he have teamwide charisma despite the lore? And the 30% battery just feels insulting. At least they didn't unceremoniously buff the NP, so I can keep coping for it to happen in the story. Also here's a petty tangent: I pray Gawain never gets a battery upgrade. Why must the glorious Gorilla loop? Oh wait, imagine it's buffed to 27 percent! 3^3, it'll be perfect! He can get his useful NP faster... And it's low enough to piss off the right people. Arthur (and Malter) not reaching 120 yet is truly a bruh moment. Next year, surely. I guess you had really good luck pulling for Charlie. I've found him to be stupid fun to pair with Bazett and Lakshmibai as well. BTW I really like Roland's kit, as it's Tristan-y. Hope he didn't 'spook' too much to be disappointing. Oh I've seen "Waking Dragon" before, maybe it was on the YT url. I've wanted to play Ninja Gaiden since I was a kid, now I'm hoping to pick up the PC port at least. Funny to hear the words 'old' and 'niche' now, I remember when II came out and my male friends kept gushing about how bloody and badass it was. Anyway I'd be happy to play something good for once. My username was made up hastily, and I don't intend to use it on other sites. I looked for Greek names and Chryses just stood out. Since it was taken, I added 'Core' to make it an FF7 pun (which I haven't played as well). Then I shortened it to the Latin 'cor' so that it looks cultured lol. Caligula (I regret typing this) liked combining the two languages for the fun, so I felt extra satisfied with it. I use the name 'Etana' in other places as it was my favourite preset name from 'Zeus: The Master of Olympus.' But then I grew up and learned that it wasn't Greek >:( Thanks for your thoughts on hard content, I am making up such an event for a UI project and I wanted it to be as idealistic as possible. Thematic clears are the antidote to the forced support bs we get. And yeah, facilitating them is an undoubtedly positive idea to look into. I was thinking of a way to solo as much as possible lol. Maybe involving Main Story fights as well. You often mention how the old CQs should always be available, that would make an excellent permanent feature too. Ah enough hopium for now haha.
@@ChrysesCor Yeah the crit and cooldown passive was also a huge concern for me as well in addition to the homogenisation. I mean it's nice to see your favourite units get stronger, but it feels like something special is lost the more they get similar, or if they can all easily beat CQs in similar ways. One of the main reasons why Charlemagne has been my favourite unit this year is due to the uniqueness of his S1. Yeah sure his solo potential is never going to be the same as Summer Okita Alter who's also a strong AOE Quick looper, but he has an interesting playstyle that's fun to work with a team. Arthur's S3 buff to the super giant mod to 3T is nice, but yeah the battery and charisma is real boring given how the state of the AOE Buster Sabers. My luck with Charlemagne's banners have been pretty decent, my first time rolling for him I got him to NP2 and NP5 Kriemhild (who I did not intend to get for my 2nd account) with around 330sq, and this recent banner I also got another 2 NP copies with a similar pulls, and with NP6 Roland. I will definitely be interested in testing him out when I get more chances to do so. Speaking of Ninja Gaiden's PC port if you intend on getting it, the first game (Ninja Gaiden Sigma) is still a decent and passable sidegrade to other versions of the game, but the second game in the trilogy (Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2) is a massive departure from it's original Xbox 360 exclusive version from 2008, the most jarring (and notable) difference being highly reduced enemy counts and being rebalanced around those numbers (there are other changes as well but that point is the most significant), which results in kind of an awkward experience at certain points due to the levels being designed around large enemy numbers. The combat mechanics are still solid, but the overall experience is really different from the original. As for the third game, it is way superior to the original release, but it is still arguably the weakest entry due to it's horrible foundation from the original game which was panned critically. The devs did a good job reworking the combat mechanics in the re-release Ninja Gaiden 3: Razor's Edge which imo is the best in the series when it comes to the combat, but the game is still sadly held back by it's lackluster enemy and level design. It also doesn't help that it's learning curve is also the most brutal among the games and removes crutches from the earlier games such as healing items and save points are more limited, so it's a lot harder to get into. Still, if I had a recommended playing order for the PC port of the trilogy, I would recommend playing NGS2 first as imo it has the easiest learning curve, then NGS, and finally NG3RE. I really wish I could answer better about your question on hard content, but it is kind of a challenge due to how FGO is unfortunately. Let's continue to expect the least, and hope for the best!
Nah that was way before the lotto, I had so much spare Embers that I needed to get rid on that account, so I picked a welfare to dump them all into. Then I just automated Ember dailies with FGA just for the rest of the exp as there was nothing going on for that account. Also these runs aren't great lol, given the use Merlin Castoria stall. My Charlemagne video is still superior to this.

Yes, it is quite a lot, which is why I mentioned that they are all across 5 of my FGO accounts. Of course, my 3rd to 5th accounts don't get the same level of care as my first two accounts.
