Hey bro, do u recommend a 150cc as a starter bike? I havent ride anything like a bike but ive been as a passenger and obviously rode cycles as a teenager, then i got my first truck but having something that i could work on by myself, a bike or a small car sounds amazing, but im afraid of the injuries i could get from the bike, what do u recommend?
My first was a 96 katana 600, & im actually still working on getting it running. I got it for an amazing deal because it was a complete no start as the owner is a pilot and hadnt had time to ride it since he bought it so its in great condition with low miles..
@@Santanabat so the few times I’ve had it running properly it’s beyond amazing!! It literally sounds like a racing bike & they’re great because the power isn’t immediate it builds up in the rpm’s. Now the only reason mine is in & out of my shop often is because it sat with fuel in it for 23 years straight before I bought it which degraded all of the carbs & DESTROYED the gas tank even though it only has 1,400 miles on it & since its sooo old you can’t find new parts only equally used ones. So id recommend getting one already running perfectly or maybe a slightly newer one that may have new replacement parts. I took it out and practiced with a couple friends, within a day im already taking it down state routes and the only issue im having is stalling a lot (working on it), id say its a great beginner since it has power but its not too much power, plus it didnt break the bank!
I started riding on a Harley-Davidson FLHT, touring style, motorcycle as an adult over 20 years ago. I learned on what I ultimately wanted to ride. Not a starter bike then upgrade later. My son is learning on a Kawasaki KLX230s dual sport because he is only 14 years old and restricted to a motorcycle 250cc or less.
My first bike was a cb650r. But I'm also older so I wasn't gunna try to do crazy stuff on it. Dual sport is actually a really cool choice. I'm definitely getting a dual sport next.
I just got my first bike a 2001 honda vtx 750 or shadow it has a forgiving drum rear brake you can ride currently with no front brake and its super heavy so i learned my balance at low speeds quicker since the bike likes to turn the wheel or tilt at low speeds ive had it 5 days and can come almost to a complete stop without putting my feet down and take off without riding the clutch my first ride i learned my limits when i came in a corner to fast and almost straightened up and wrecked but i eased the brake and throttled out at the end im glad i got something thats forgiving and being scared is good i slow down at every intersection even if its green and constantly watch around me. Sorry for the rant i just love my bike i traded my truck for it lol.

Balance is no issue and understand braking....its the shifting I can't seem to wrap my head around... but then again I haven't even tried it on a real bike. Any advice helps. 😅😅
Well it all depends on your budget. I really wanted a gt500 continental from RE. However finding a used one of those was getting tiredsome until i realized that the t100s had the style power and around the same budget range. So i went with that. I was thinking about the sv650, r3 or hell even a cbr500. However finding good examples of those here in NY was just a nightmare.
Love beginer bikes but people who take up riding tend to sell the 250's or 300's pretty quick. Especially if you are a person of any substantial size. If you are not a small person and money is tight and you consider yourself able to control your thoughts and actions and are a safe person i would skip any type of beginer bikes and go right for the 600. Jusy make yourself take your time and go slower for the first couple of months. Put limits on youself like speed limits for the first 3 months. Never ride without a performance jacket, helmet, and gloves ever! This will save you a bunch of cash. However, if you cant trust yourself get the beginer bike! Another idea is if you like riding in the woods get a street legal enduro that you think you will keep if you get you street bike. Of course rhis is a cash heavy option. But you do get two bikes in the end.

I would argue a dirt bike (low power, forces the rider to learn to use the clutch, stales when you shift incorrectly, used near exclusive on dirt trails and dry lake beds when starting out as avoiding car issues, many are built tall or close to the ground and the tall ones normally having lowering kits.)
Hey bro these are some good choices but I don’t have a vagina, so could u point me in the direction of some good newbie bikes like the R6.? Thanks for the content
My first street bike, was an 02 Yamaha R1 with a power commander¡ Shit was nasty... I got it in 07. But really I wouldn't recommend it for a first.... What I would recommend is a YZ490 2 stroke... Or a Honda 500 2 stroke!
I ride a 2019 sv650x and I went with it specifically because it wasn’t gutless like a 250 or 400 and it’s really fun to ride. You can crank the throttle 100% and it’s not gonna send you directly to the shadow realm. Very fun bike to ride IMO and it’s only a few thousand more than a new 400 or even cheaper if you go used. I wanna look out for my homies getting onto riding so if you need a first bike I would go with an sv650. Very fun bike and very beginner friendly.
Just got my first bike, 05 fz6. Was intimidating at first but after a couple hours I got used to it. As of now just practicing til it stops feeling like the bike is riding me
My first bike I still I own because I started riding last season and it’s a 2006 Kawasaki Concours zg1000. 1000ccs is a lot for a starter bike let alone a tour bike with big heavy fairings and saddlebags but, I oddly like that old cop cruiser look with the old Ninja engine. Compliments me well but I have dropped it one of the first rides out and never again have will tell you that! 700 pounds wet doesn’t lay down easy.
Holy ?@$$ you’re rollin a concours for your first bike 😂😂 good for u - that’s a beast. Sweet bikes tho - but that’s kinda like getting a tour bus for your first car 😂
@@loubrew8030 Haha thanks man I appreciate and take all of that as a complete compliment because well, I’m well under 25 I’ll tell you that much and weigh roughly 145 pound at that. Anyone can do it! After laying er down dead stop once at a stop sign turning and the other at a gas pump, I’ve learned the hard lesson already with a bike like that. Do you got a first and don’t mind sharing? Just for an input
@@w_swim oh my first street bike was about 30 years ago now - had an EX500 (ninja 500). Today I have a 1050 speed triple. Back in my teens I was about 150lbs & used to take my dad’s Yamaha venture out now and then and man that thing was big - must have been 8-900 lbs. and sooo top heavy. I managed her alright tho! As you’ve found out - it’s the low speed stuff that will get ya. That’s where you’re at a disadvantage- it’s nicer to learn low speed control on something smaller. But it can be done - master clutch and throttle control. Take a MSF course and practice the drills(I have). So worth it - and comes w a insurance discount too. I’ve had a bunch of kawi’s - those concours are great bikes! Wouldn’t mind one myself.
Also - it’s kind of unfair for you to start with that bike. You’re supposed to first suffer with barely having storage for a pair of gloves like the rest of us 😂

I’m going to start riding once I move out hopefully later this year. Probably going R3 or MT03/Z400
go z400 or mt03-07 if you want to trust me
and then after a year buy an r6
I bought my first bike ( Kawasaki ninja 400) about 3 weeks ago and I’m already lookin to see what my next bike is going to be I’m leaning towards a bmw s1000rr but idk going from a 400 cc to a 1000 cc seems kinda wild I’m definitely gunna wait till I pay off my ninja 400 first which will take a couple months but what do y’all think is that enough time to upgrade to a 1000 cc or should I just take it slow and go for a 600 cc sport bike
I still don't have my bike license but I'm looking at the Vulcan s for the future, still a bit undecided though.
Shout out from South Africa 🔥
My first street bike, was an 02 Yamaha R1 with a power commander¡ Shit was nasty... I got it in 07. But really I wouldn't recommend it for a first.... What I would recommend is a YZ490 2 stroke... Or a Honda 500 2 stroke!
what would be a good bike for me i’m 16 i can get a 50cc at max and i prefer faster bikes
As of now just practicing til it stops feeling like the bike is riding me
my first bike is a 1995 VFR 750. i fully rebuilt it
The way you hit those corners man

First bike is a 300cc but I learned on a 1000😂
Hhhhhhh
Hagagagagagagaga
What if i never road a motorcycle, practice on a grom for a couple months and buy myself a either the 2nd gen or 3rd gen Hayabusa’s
Love the pats sweatshirt lol u from mass too?
What about the ninja 400 heard it was a pretty good beginners bike
I’ve been looking to buy the cf moto
You’re supposed to first suffer with barely having storage for a pair of gloves like the rest of us 😂
@@loubrew80304 months later and I’m mastering my bike! I can get knee down now too. How’s riding for you? I want a Ninja myself just can’t choose which one!! And I love all the space on the Connie, I don’t plan on ever getting rid of it.
Are groms usually used as beginner bikes ? Or are they too small
First bike was a sportster 1200 they’re great but Harley quality is the worst now I ride dual sports Honda n kawasaki and boy do I recommend your right on that
NICE HOODIE 🤙🏾
My first bike was a 83 XS 400 seca.
I started on a "plush gsxr" (RF900R) & dozen dirt bikes & quads before that. Was amazed how quiet life was above 100mph 😝
What’s the cruiser you used a picture of?
It’s a Honda Rebel 250
Im a really big guy and started with a Honda 600 VLX 1997
Racing a kx250f to it limits then jumping on my z900 should of been idle, but I got a 300 in between the two and got bored in a week
my uncle says Yamaha R3 is a good beginner bike for me, does that count?
Me telling myself I’ll be careful with the 1000😂
Rn I have a little 50 cc bike and I’m planning to sell my mini bike and maybe work my way up to a 250 bc it’s the cheapest option for me at the moment.
Would you say a GSX R 600 is a good starter
Hey Bro I'm a huge fan. I love your bike advices and opinion. I've got a couple of questions
Thanks! Glad you’re enjoying the videos and what are your questions?
Turbo hayabusa is the best first motorcycle 👍👍👍👍
Me personally im going to be looking for a carbureted cbr600, if I can't find a decent one at a good price I'll look for a different carbed 600
Is Hayabusa solid as a first bike?
No. With turbo: yes
i think with an extended wheel base and a turbo with cosmetic supercharger it can maybe be a first bike, or else its just a pre-first bike material
How about the Yamaha MT-07
I am only 14 and i have been driving dual sport dirt bikes for 9 years since 5
Im on a crf80 rn despretly need a upgrade im a teen so i think a h2r is good
My cousin learned to ride a bike with a Hayabusa it was crazy when my uncle was teaching him lmao, now he's got a Pulsar lol
What type of bike is the last one showed on the screen. The yellow one
Nah ima take a ducati streetfighter v4 as a beginner bike 🔥🔥🔥
I'm 160 cm toll what size bike would be great for me ?
I've been riding since I was 3 I'm 13 now and I'm riding 125 on track but I can ride any thing under a 450 and 450
I started on my dads Kawasaki ninja 1000sx and my first bike was a Kawasaki ninja 650
Ya I really fucked up getting a 1400cc cruiser for my first bike 😂
