In my alt, I had 40 cr from my wb tableau in June. I now have 1050 cr from my tableau. My main, day 1, account has 1120. On one hand, the catch up mechanic is great, but really old school players got screwed bcz in another month or so, any dedicated grinder could have essentially caught up. It kind of makes you wonder why you bothered grinding the game for a full year since basically all your gains are being nullified by catch up mechanics. At least in pve. Meanwhile, the one catch up mechanic we truly need - res - is their moneymaker and precious little has been done to give a reasonable catch up mechanic. Pets aint it. Res based boons are minimal. 52 first kill of the day 1 stars per year and a handful of telluric pearls goes nowhere to getting grinders res. Basically that's only enough gem power to rank a 2/5 star gem from 1 to 2. 😂😂😂 And you can get maybe three 2/5 star gems a year from the pearls. Given the obscene numbers required to rank 5 star gems, it's a joke. Most players are stuck in the 3k res range. And it only gets harder to rank gems after rank 6 or so... even with incremental upgrading. I'm not saying we need insta-res, but a 5 year plan might be nice. The current system is so miserly so as not to be realistic at all. Either you spend tens to hundreds of thousands of US dollars for res, or you swim in the piss-filled kiddie pool forever. Sigh.
Hello Habo I just want to add that is hard or impossible since we past the inferno 2,to get higher Cr,just because the drop rates of legendary items with higher cr is very low or innexistent.So,in this way is very hard to keep up with wales,or people who invest a lot of money in the game,and it is not fair.And just because of this reason,i start to loose my apettit for the game,and resume just to do the basic things in game.I hope they will do something about it,because from inferno 2 untill now,they did not change anything about it. My suggestion is to focus on 2nd stats attributes, they worth more and give better results than having high reso alone. Say if you are 1k or 2k reso, 2nd stats around 2.5 -3k, you will be king in pvp for ur cluster group.
i think it depends on the gem setup and on what build/class you use also if you want to go for the highest dmg possible while being lower reso player you need to focus on a lot of things and not just your reso
i really hate playing bg, everytime i play im teamed up with lvl 800 paragon players and the enemy has 5-6k reso and i only have 1k matchmaking is garbage

What are you saying will cost $1000? Rank 10 what. To rank a 5* gem to rank 10 it will cost an average of $10K. and to fully max out all 8 slots with 'fully' awakened you need 24 total (8 main + 16 additional - 5* rank 10 gems) plus 24 additional - 2* rank 10 gems. Its takes 48x rank 10 gems (24-5*'s & 24-2*'s).. You also need Normal gems and now Pets to maximize..

I'm not sure how much it costs nowadays.
Dont focus on 3k reso bro, just focus what you can enjoy, if for pve better focus 1* and 2* gems.
3k reso- 1yr more or less for f2p doing all activities. If your lucky around 1 to 2k usd. It all depends on luck of gem drops.
This just playing with no alts. If you alts it will be faster for f2p selling normal gems for leg gems.

Depends on charactee bro I have 1300 reso too. For demon hunter I have similar like you. But barb and Necro gets 600-700k dps
Have to play around with your build. Im wizard with 1.1k reso and pushed my dps up to 800k - 900k. Just by tweaking my build

If ur enemy has 5-6k reso, thr must be 5-6k reso player in ur team too, total reso of both team r similar in most of time
