Considering that Shadow is casted primarily in black plastic, it makes sense why his lighting effect is unfortunately muddled and looks dim when compared to Sonic’s lighting effect, as black plastic does ‘eat’/obscure light!
This is an issue with black plastic in general across any toyline honestly, as light naturally can’t easily pass through black or dark surfaces, as it’s wavelengths gets absorbed! 😔 Since Sonic was casted in blue plastic, light can more easily pass through it, hence why he looks wayyyy more brighter in comparison! ⚡️

Yeah, I was wondering why knuckles doesn’t light up because, he has quills too! But tails makes sense since he has fur. ( I kinda wish they made him light up, and his fists as well, so he can have the flames of disaster)

This pack seems fantastic. In particular I'm glad the issue with Shadow's eyes in the first wave did not carry over to this release. That's a relief. Can't wait for mine to get here.

2:19 I just wanna say thank you so much for your help & it means a lot to me! Because I've been having issues while I was at Target, trying pressing the chests to all the sonic figures they have in the store & none of them are lighting up. I was like is all of the 4 pack figures they have in stock been defective & what's the point of the try me now if they're not going to show it? Without this video I will never noticed about the pull tab on the box, it really helps me before purchasing the figures since it's really expensive & wasn't sure they're working. This will make a great Christmas gift for my niece & nephew I'm planning to give them. And also thanks for the help with your review video!

I love this figure pack but man do I wish that Sonic and Shadows light up feature was activated via the quills on their back instead of their chest. It just makes the figures look a bit off.

I found bike Shadow and I was able to get this set from Target's website but I can't for the life of me find the regular Shadow release. Also I didn't know these also lacked the butterfly joints as well.🙃

Be careful of the muzzle section on Shadow that connects the bridge of the nose to the brow line. I’ve gone through 6 of these in store and every single one was glued in a different position

Jokes aside, it's a little disappointing that Jakks didn't put those expressions on the Wave 1 figures, they look a lot better, although it's also disappointing that the light-up ones lost articulation.

Could it possible that your shadow’s batteries are low hence the light up feature isn’t as bright compared to sonic you should consider giving shadow new batteries and see if that makes his lights brighter
