I was hoping for a fun gimmick for this toy as well. The whole time I thought Sonic was gonna run around by having the button pressed. Kinda disappointing, but it still looks cool.
My son got this for his birthday and he’s already frustrated with it. I also thought it propelled Sonic somehow and I was missing something. Cool concept but definitely missed on the Sonic moving somehow.
Okay, the bottom piece does click into place and all, I thought it was a mistake in the set or something, but I was just doing it wrong. Frustrated me so much. Don't think it's a good kid's toy, but I'm just having it on the shelf because it looks pretty cool to me.

Have the death egg robot and the Eggman playset and was hoping to get this just as a display but it kinda looks like a plain hunk of plastic..could at least thar been more detailed...doesnt help its based off a terrible sonic game
Not worth the price i paid , waste of 40 bucks , the instructions are just pictures that are hard to read and everytime i push the button it half way pushes up , but following the pics im pretty sure i did it right , not worth the money
