Got a code question for you. I also live here in Michigan just outside Oakland county. Took me forever to figure out what was installed in my backyard. This video proves what I’m seeing and what Vac truck company said was here. I had the association take a look and they had it pumped out but the contractor refused to clean the mud out of the crock drain because they saw gravel stone. So now the mud is preventing the water from going down. I have the exact same 24” sleeve and green cap here. It goes down into the ground just like what you installed same depth. Here’s my code question, it’s silly I know but before I get attorneys I want to get your opinion. My neighbor has a 2” running from his property underground on to my property and it ends inside this drain! It’s only a few inches underground where it penetrates the drain, can they legally run on my land like this? I say no! Especially because I have egress windows 10 feet from this drain which so happens to be the low point of my property and the neighbors property by some 3 feet. So I thought this drain was installed to combat a 100 year storm in the likelihood that water would collect and wash out my foundation. We got that storm in 2021 for sure. What do you think and also your thoughts about the neighbor draining on my property. Should I call the city inspector out here to tag it? Help!

I don't call city inspectors out for any reason whatsoever unless it's something the homeowner wants me to do. Who needs the headache?

Perfect trench…what size bucket do you have on that Mini excavator?

      A 9" bucket gives us a 12" breakout.

You do beautiful work, also very knowledgeable. I watch the guy, here on TH-cam, down in Florida and I cringe at what a hack he is.

It's hard to watch. It's like a car crash in slow motion.

🥺i got a problem , this video brainwashed a person in my family think that a dry well i a good idea , were we what to put it is with in 4 feet of a house fountain and a septic leech field , We have sandy soil i would rather daylight it to about 20 feet in front of the house were the slop of the lawn would take to surface inlet further down the lawn 😖

I don't recommend a dry well 4ft from the house. We go 20ft minimum that way you will not have water reach the foundation through capillary action
