Took mine for a quick 120km ride last night. It was awesome. She was singing. 😊

Nice job! I just found a 1982 in white. The tank shape reminds me of my Seca 550 back in my school days. Looking forward to your GPZ550 video.

What a beautiful machine. Nice video. I have happen to have an 83 RZ350 in near showroom condition. I even took the toomeys off, unlike me cuz I like to hot rod my RZ bikes, to keep it stock. Not refinishing or repainting anything on that one. Lots of hot rod and resto RZ videos on my channel. Thanks!!!

Music to my ears when you fired the 350 up😊😊. Used to cafe race mine back in 1983 with a few Stan Stephens goodies on board.

She does sound great. Back in the day I loved the sound the chrome allspeeds gave them - almost a 'crackle'.

We got a few of the Blue ones in 1981 via our local dealer in Chester le Street i think, loved that colour scheme, same time as the Kenny Roberts ones came out in yellow.

The yellow was really special! But yes, I think back in the 80's I would have most likely picked the black, or white one, as I think they did look more 'sporty' - but they are still the ones you see more of now. Not so much the candy blue - which was another reason i wanted it.

@@RideableClassics Had a Black one in 1982, reg LBB7X, check it out and not been taxed since 1990, hope it is still in one piece. Also have a ZGZ550 D1 plastic bit for in between the clocks, diff to the Z400/500 550 one as it has the fuel gauge. Your tank will not have it if it is a std 550, also teh GPZ550D1 speedo has 70mph at the top, think the Std 550 has 65 at the top like my Z500. Nice original LC with patina.

Its funny how we still remember the registrations of the bikes we had decades ago. My 550D1 was TWX25W - like many I searched high and low to try and find it, but I fear it was probably recycled years ago into a fridge freezer or some such 😂

Hi, Have not seen what your name is, I am Barry and been looking at these for the last couple of weeks they certainly fetch some money. Could you tell me anything about the 400 cc ones although I do like the RD350s, would like to try and buy one for this summer if funds allow, Thank you

Hi Barry, the 400 are the older air-cooled model. The LC's generally came in 250, or 350 guise, although they did do a 500 as well, but its the 250's & 350's which were the most popular. The 400 is a good bike, but as I say, a quite different beast than the LC's, which are of course liquid cooled. I hope you manage to get hold of one at a good price 👍
