- Former Secretary of Defense Robert Gates and former Secretaries of State Condoleezza Rice and Madeleine Albright sit in conversation with former US Ambassador Nicholas Burns, professor at the Harvard Kennedy School.

Albright states Putin is good in tactics but has no long term strategy. Can somebody show me any tiny bit of US strategy in Iraq, Afghanistan, Libya. What was the strategy in Vietnam? What is the Obama strategy in Syria and Ukraine.
+ElPocho DelMundo Yes, you are right. It was Mc Carthy way of thinking to lure them into Vietnam. Already the term Vietnam war is a lie. They destroyed, Laos and Cambodia as well. Laos had less than 2 mio people at that time. Vientiane 50 000 inhabitants. Not a bit of an industry, just nothing to bomb. But they dropped more bombs on it than on Nazi Germany. Everybody knows the nice statement: "We will bomb them back to stone age" This is a wrapped Freudian slip. It clearly shows that stone age barbarism is their one and only way to solve a problem. And during the more than 40 years since Vietnam this stone age methods have not gone away. They were dedusted in Yugoslavia (once the pearl of all the esatern block countries. Germans went there for holidays) Afghanistan and Iraq saw renewed stone age methods again.
+Wilfried Schuler Strategy of Iraq/Afghanistan/Libya is to make major shareholders of weapons/oil/ trade companies very rich! Vietnam was slightly similar but also to do with ending oppression.
I personally very much enjoy that conversation because We ( as viewers) clearly perceive the human behind the political public figure! That's one important reminder!
