I drive by that shop every day on my way to/from work. He's not lying. There is always a bunch of cars out front and a car in most or every bay when the doors are open. Word on the street here is that these guys do good work.

Good luck bro. I retired from running my own shop for 25 years back in 2017. I work at my friends shop 3 days a week. A techs are impossible to find here in Pa. We put a poster up at the local automotive training school which I graduated back in 1991. Got no response.
This is the kind of place I’d LOVE to work for as a service advisor. Good honest shops are so rare these days... to the point where I’ve been turned off by the industry as a whole.
I appreciate the offer and I hope you find you guy. I know I'm not quite skilled enough to fill either position but I will say you have an awesome shop and it would be an honor to work there

Man, I would love to work for you guys. I'm a Subaru lead tech up here in NY at the biggest dealer group in the state. I just have to take all of my ASE tests to be considered master certified. Only if I was 50 years younger, I was a NIASE certified general mechanic and liked working on cars but got to the point I hated service managers and all the BS. Still have all my tools and do work on cars from time to time. My attitude back then was when I was done with a car give me another one. I don't care what it was but just give me a car if there was one in the lot and I didn't care if I was up for a car or not. Not my fault if the other guys were slow or they had returns. In 10 + years I can only remember 2 coming back, both were part failures. I now teach my son how to fix his car when he has problems. A few month back I needed to replace a pinion seal on my 4x4 truck; we replaced all the bearings and seals. I showed my son the proper way to setup a deferential. I should be good for another 300, 000 miles, the truck is a 2009 Dodge 6.7 diesel. I watched your video on the Front differential that had the wrong oil, it was interesting and most mechanic don't understand the differences in brands and types. Oil is a science of its own, I use the proper oil for the car or truck and stick with one brand and 1 oil within that brand for what ever part of the car engine, transmission or rear end. Even changing brands of oil can cause problems because additives in one brand could nullify or have an adverse affects on how the oil works in the engine or transmission.
5 days a week and off for lunch/Saturdays and Sundays. Professional environment with the owners understanding the service part rather than just some car salesperson stuck running service-I would be over there applying in a heartbeat if I could talk my wife and kids into moving down. Hope you get some good applicants.
Wish i was in the area, i have 20 years of auto experience, my dad owned a machine shop and now im partnered with my stepdad doing locksmithing, doing a lot of automotive key programming, infact just learned some mercedes. I am horrible at sales, if i wouldn't buy it i cant sell it.
I’m sure you know this but I just want to say as a customer of many businesses I chose the businesses I go to based on how they treat customers, employees, etc. So even though it may be more costly in the short run for you to do the right/ethical thing, in the long run it definitely helps the business and probably is more profitable that way too. Keep it up!
Did you guys ever each out to the service advisor from that shop that said the ram had a locked up engine? Have been curious if anything ever happened with that
67 y/o retired Master tech. How does your shop feel about using Identifix or something similar? I know it doesn't always have the answer but if 500ish techs did x tests, replaced Y part and car was fixed, seems like great tool to use. I would look, quickly verify if it had merit, then decide my direction. Had several techs that didn't want or believe in using "help". But my dealer experience with using tech line probably influenced me to go that direction.
Im a career mechanic of over 15 years! I'm in Alaska now but I want to talk to my wife about us moving. Only thing I don't work on is German/euro and exotic.
Shop owners don't understand that the service advisor is often the only interface between the shop and the customer. They are just as critical as the techs. I'm sure you will find the rjght people.
Such bad timing I just found a job I like and I've got an ailing father to care for... I've got XP as an ASE certified tech and service advisor. Maybe next growth
In high school in 1979 my auto shop teacher recommended me to a mechanic for a job coming in nights to clean the shop. I remember mopping the floors with parts washer, which is probably not a thing any more! I was going to be a mechanic, but my dad talked me out of it and I went to college. I had two careers, one as a cop (which I loved) and one as a lawyer (which I hated). For the last ten years I have been an auto tech student at TH-cam Vocational Institute and I have my own informal ministry fixing cars for people who can't afford a mechanic. I probably wouldn't cut it as a real mechanic, but if you need an old guy to come in nights to mop your floors with parts cleaner, I'm your man! By the way, I first realized I was becoming a man when the mechanic who hired me, Manny, first handed me the key to the shop and told me the alarm code and told me that he was trusting me with his family's future. I'll never forget that day.
If you're a good tech and willing to listen and follow direction, jump on this asap! Great pay plan and they take care of their employees! I blew my chance due to a failed relationship...

4 day work week? I’m used to working 50 plus and my average flat rate is 67 hours a week. I’d be curious how many flat rate hours your techs average. But man that 4 day week sure sounds enticing lol, only about 6 hours south of me
We aren’t going to have many 67 hour weeks. We’ve had them before but they are few and far between because of the lower hours we work. 50-55 hours isn’t an issue with our schedule though and our workflow.
Boy I am pretty old now, just turned 68 today . Why couldn't I of found an owner like you 50 years ago. Oh by the way. You might fix the link to your application, it's not clickable. (dead link)
@theroyaltyautoservice I appreciate that! I'm okay with covering the expenses. My issue is that I have some things/family holding me down here for the next 3-6 months. I will apply in the summer, after I've cut my ties with Ohio. Thank you so much for the kind gesture!
I have been following your channel for awhile. I am an 1.5 northwest of your shop. Your shop is the best in the southeast area. The shops in my area are just trash . I'll soon be dissolving my LLC. Alll i do is diagnostics /troubleshooting and programming , I'm the guy that customers call after they have exhausted their money with code chasing parts swappers. It makes me insane to watch guys that still yet comprehends the fact that sensor data is the result of mechanical abilities . Spending hours wondering instead of getting physical live readings of the engines ability to breathe as inhale , compression and exhale at the same time. I know what make control tick and how the bare bones programming is accomplished. The same goes for the transmission presssures . I have been in the automotive field since 1987. I remember hearing the very first " bring your car to us and we will read your codes for free " BS. on the radio as i was troubleshooting a driveability issue. I only wish that people would be willing to understand that there car will cost then money weather in well running condition or not . Nobody works for free and anything and everything we touch costs money . If i were a little closer i would just swing by and knock out some of those diags without spending hours or days . Saying things like that's weird or that doesn't make sense. Having a solid understanding of how things work ,there is nothing complicated about it. Control modules arent just thrown together , they are designed on the foundation of ohms law. Scsntool tool subscriptions cost money because the different components have 1s and 0's ASCII programming in the software which results into the English language that we read. The data assigned to each pid is converted through multipliers giving us speed and pressures/ vacuums. The only people that know how a vehicle works are the people that designed and built them is another reason that cars cost money to diagnose and repair. Wetlather it be dodge , Chevy or Ferrari or whatever . The people that started the "free diagnostic lie " will not recant and tell people they have been b.s. all these years which has created this fight between them and the shops. That code reader is nothing but a money maker for the autoparts store and nothing but misery for the rest of us.
Interesting - Please explain more about the different levels of Technicians recognized in the field ( New, A, B, etc. ) and the educational and experience levels required in each. Who / what associations sets these standards ? Any thoughts in the industry of having apprentice programs like in the trades? I imagine finding good qualified techs is tough since cars are so complicated compared to not too many years ago. I have been a DIYer ( cars & motorcycles ) for the last 50 years and never had my car in a shop for repairs after warranty service ( rebuilt the trans in my '90 Plymouth Voyager ) but cars are so complicated these days, including the electronics on board and difficulty in just locating all the electronic modules without the proper ( $$ ) documentation. I'm an old electronic tech & electrical engineer and without the proper documentation I would be hard pressed to fix an out of the ordinary / tough problem even with my decent Launch scan tool. I would need in addition an electrical diagram and location of all the modules and connector locations, etc. Good luck Sherwood on finding another good Tech. I hope they are watching your videos because it sounds to me that you are running a model auto repair facility. BTW, I discovered your channel and others in the last year and have learned a lot - THANKS!
Ahhhh to be 40 years younger! I would be there in a minute. That area of the world has world glass hunting a fishing all year round. Orlando is a couple of hours away. Housing is crazy expensive everywhere. This area is probably one of the more affordable areas. What are you waiting for?
I couldn’t work for anyone again. I would never leave my mobile diagnostics and programming business in ohio to have a boss breathing down my neck. Been there done that
Best of luck to you Brother from a fellow Buckeye, done the Mobile thing for many years myself. I was born and raised in Ravenna up by Kent State University, the place of the Vietnam Era shooting, Cheers.
Big difference is techs on ur level shld be paid 52. A hour, a dam gd service adviser should be 35. Hour, so not being jerk if ur a shop at 19 to 24 a hour might be hard to get that kind of help on basically minimum wage, wld hv been better to say hey entry level is this. Or that wld save alot of bull@@@ comments like mine
@theroyaltyautoservice the world we live in is so dam afraid of disclosing money, why don't you disclose what position pays, I get it afraid u won't hv anyone respond with any qualifications, but ppl are tired of the circle jerk, watch 1 hr of presentation, of who they are where they come from, all there credentials, before they finally tell you it isn't free its 90 dollars a bottle, my guess is ur afraid of loss of interest, that says alot about you n ur shop, I hired a buddy out of auto school one time, he went to another shop wrked there 30 yrs, they finally retired, hauled his box to another shop where he is today, mechanics are whores, who's ever paying more, they hv bad day n gone for little as 5 dollars more. So they paid a incentive .25 cents for each ASE passed certificate, proud to be a master tech, just in our industry alone mark my words, a new type of insurance is coming, u won't be alive when it comes, but when content creators get blamed for death, something u showed someone, and you tube fined or shut dn, don't say can't happen, nobody thought, 1 million dollars for hot cup of coffee either, I c it all the time, and this right to repair act has gotten stupid everyone is a mechanic, no wrries I think its funny as hell, just because scanner Danner, in the beginning, everyone wants to show you how to fix cars, and now everyone is, where was all this crap in 1990 didn't exist, had to figure it out, that is why I call all this shit a joke, a premium was paid for info, still premium paid for info now, and everyone giving info away, just because it's a view, or subscription, or thanks for viewing, here we are double dipping, let's give something away, making it wrk with Jimmy, wld be fired for double dipping, and potential disruption in wrk place, how about if all ur employees start running around with cameras, you gonna stop them for double dipping let me tell you the law suits will shut you dn, cuz when u give me a job there, I'm gonna record like you two do, (well we're not gonna put up with that) you might not hv legal right to shit me down, sry bout rant, but my opinion this shit is about to get real, everyone with cameras recording, record u getting ur ass kicked by someone old school, lol, ur not busy cuz u fix cars, ur busy cuz ur on TV.
Man do I wish I could move there. This is the place I would love to be. I’m an older person but I always did the right thing all my life and love your work!

I'll soon be dissolving my LLC. Alll i do is diagnostics /troubleshooting and programming ,
I'm the guy that customers call after they have exhausted their money with code chasing parts swappers.
Sorry for the misspellings the autocorrect never fails at its misspellings.
I don’t want leave mommies basement.
Hire me😂 sir...i have good experience in toyota hybrid vehicles and nissan mazda vehicles
Ahhhh to be 40 years younger! I would be there in a minute.
That area of the world has world glass hunting a fishing all year round. Orlando is a couple of hours away.
Housing is crazy expensive everywhere. This area is probably one of the more affordable areas. What are you waiting for?
Do you by any chance have a business in TN?
We don’t. Love it up there though!
I wish I could but I don’t live near you guys
We are more than willing to help with relocation expenses for the right candidate! 👍
Are you providing everyone a new ICON box full of tools? (I’m kidding)
That would definitely be a nice perk, wouldn’t it? 😅
@ yes it would. I was kidding of course.
Relocation assistance?
Yes we will help with relocation. 👍
@theroyaltyautoservice do you have an email i can contact?
What is the furthest a customer has driven their vehicle to you guys to do work?
I couldn’t work for anyone again. I would never leave my mobile diagnostics and programming business in ohio to have a boss breathing down my neck. Been there done that
Best of luck to you Brother from a fellow Buckeye, done the Mobile thing for many years myself. I was born and raised in Ravenna up by Kent State University, the place of the Vietnam Era shooting, Cheers.
I worked in shops before and not interested in the flat rate garbage anymore. Warranty sucked. Management sucked at a lot of the places.
I am happy that you need to expand! Good luck in the future. As a Canadian, I am boycotting the USA.
Did you really have to say you are boycotting the USA?
Would you give a h1b to someone from the UK?
Do you guys offer healthcare?
Big difference is techs on ur level shld be paid 52. A hour, a dam gd service adviser should be 35. Hour, so not being jerk if ur a shop at 19 to 24 a hour might be hard to get that kind of help on basically minimum wage, wld hv been better to say hey entry level is this. Or that wld save alot of bull@@@ comments like mine
None of our technicians are 19-24 per hour. 👍
So they paid a incentive .25 cents for each ASE passed certificate, proud to be a master tech, just in our industry alone mark my words, a new type of insurance is coming, u won't be alive when it comes, but when content creators get blamed for death, something u showed someone, and you tube fined or shut dn, don't say can't happen, nobody thought, 1 million dollars for hot cup of coffee either, I c it all the time, and this right to repair act has gotten stupid everyone is a mechanic, no wrries I think its funny as hell, just because scanner Danner, in the beginning, everyone wants to show you how to fix cars, and now everyone is, where was all this crap in 1990 didn't exist, had to figure it out, that is why I call all this shit a joke, a premium was paid for info, still premium paid for info now, and everyone giving info away, just because it's a view, or subscription, or thanks for viewing, here we are double dipping, let's give something away, making it wrk with Jimmy, wld be fired for double dipping, and potential disruption in wrk place, how about if all ur employees start running around with cameras, you gonna stop them for double dipping let me tell you the law suits will shut you dn, cuz when u give me a job there, I'm gonna record like you two do, (well we're not gonna put up with that) you might not hv legal right to shit me down, sry bout rant, but my opinion this shit is about to get real, everyone with cameras recording, record u getting ur ass kicked by someone old school, lol, ur not busy cuz u fix cars, ur busy cuz ur on TV.
not a tech or a service advisor...but a big fan of your work - keep up the great work guys!
Man do I wish I could move there. This is the place I would love to be. I’m an older person but I always did the right thing all my life and love your work!
No thanks
Close to Navy base. Hire military
Are you guys convict friendly? I am an A tech with 5 felonies.
Donald? That u DJT?
We don’t reject people because of their past but we would have a conversation about it and discuss why that’s no longer an issue.
