    That private school situation down here be killing my pockets. I got two daughters in private schools and its not cheap. But, waayyy better then going to school in the states. Nobody going into a D.R. school shooting it up.

    As far as this shooting goes , I live in Atlanta and there are more regulations on a truck driver than someone buying a gun

      The guns in the DR are not cheap so if buy one you have to really need one cause getting o e it's not that easy anymore. And it's not part of the culture to have one either

      The gun laws have been the same since forever. We didn’t have an epidemic of kids deleting other children. Mental health and parenting is on the decline and substance abuse is increasing. Combine that with a messed up economy and you have a recipe for more and more problems.

    My kids are originally from New York, but now they are happily living in Honduras 🇭🇳 I'm till in the state and anytime I get the chance to talk to my kids I'm expecting them to demand a return fly to U.S but it is actually the opposite lol they don't want to come back they want me to leave the state immediately specifically when they heard about shootings . Salute to you brother you ain't missing anything about this place

    Thanks for this video Jay. I'm an American expat living in Serbia. In Serbia all citizens are fingerprinted which helps maintain a low crime rate. My friends worry about my safety...I feel safer here than almost anywhere in America.

It bothers me when random people post with excitement that they are going to vacation in the DR. Then ask about what’s safe and what places they need to avoid. I have never seen a post where someone is going to Europe, Spain etc and ask about safety and where can they pull out their credit cards. Bottom line is every country has a prison system and 9 out of 10 of them are full of inmates. SMH as I walk away.

    J I've been to America and I could never spend more than a week due to home sickness and I was treated well while there going to great adventure park etc but island life is it for me I'm Trinidadian and what I'll say to u is you're good where you are and mind you I visited America in the early 80,s and still got home sickness hahaaaaa but I could live in any island without getting homesick

    It’s crazy cause as a trucker, I drove through their earlier that morning. I parked the previous night at the rest area as I left Tennessee into Kentucky. Started my day at around 730 am so I had to be in the areas around 830-9am on my way here to Chicago. I always wondered when a few fools would do something like this driving the highways .     USA should have stronger regulations for civilians such as : background check, non military weapons, +21 years old, psychological tests and the increase all weapons prices by +500%.

    The father is definitely just as culpable as the son. He had all the warning in the world that his son was unhinged and instead of getting him help, he placed the weapon in his hands. Those victims may still be alive today, had he been a real, responsible father. I know the children in DR don't fear this kind of mayhem in their schools.

    Brutally honest video. I'm thankful that the Princess isn't living in the days 1955 segregation. I can't bring myself to watch the movie, but there are good documenties on Emmett, 1941- 1955. There are strict gun laws in every country but the US.       I have mixed feeling about that situation. 1) he could have been a little more compliant in the beginning 2) police officers should do more to deescalate the situation instead of the opposite. 3) I think they got overly aggressive after he got out the car. 4) I do feel it could have been avoided if he were just more compliant. Based the information I have and seen these are my thoughts.

    Jay, this exact situation happening today for a lot of years now IS why I do not want my children in THE U.S of A today, yea they will say then stay wherever you are, I am MTF.
    My children are U.S Citizens but live a healthy life in DR, we travel all over but we end up in DR once we notice the craziness of the once great United States which I think is imploding from WITHIN. That can of worm that president open will never be put back in the can.
