I made 25 bookmarks and sent them last week with a note that I am a MayMay Made It subscriber. I hope they like them!!
Was able to make 55 bookmarks. All made with scraps. Felt good to clear some stash and help out. In the mail tomorrow.

I have been a “collector” of supplies for far too long and am loving using them in this way. I have rediscovered my love for washi tape. I am finally busting my washi tape out and am putting it to good use. I also dragged out my punches for quick embellishments. I pulled out the glitter card stock...what fun!

Boy! Forgive my English. My cataract is getting worse. I cannot type correctly. It is difficult to read the word when I am typing. I don’t have a job now so I have plenty of time to make a card. Thank again.
Love this! I'm having so much fun. My bookmarks are 2 x 6 because the commercial ones I love are all that size. I have tons of 6 x 6 paper pads that I can get 3 fronts from each sheet, and I found all sorts of quotes about reading online, so I handwrote different quotes on the backs of each bookmark.

These are lovely. One thought, thinking of my Mom and her contemporaries with diminished vision, the more contrast there is, dark and/or bright on light color or pattern, might be easier for the elderly to see.

I like a long skinny bookmark. I would make two out of some of those doors.
I blew through some of my 6x6 papers making these today! This would be a great project to bust a 6x6 paper pad. And it's pretty quick. My goal is to donate at least 100 bookmarks.

I am sending 30 bookmarks that I made today with my paper scraps and my 4H reading project kids will be making another 50-75 as a service project.

Mailing 24 masculine bookmarks today.
I worked on a project last year. I had used all of the scraps and had punched out 145 bookmarks! I just put them in a drawer! When Maymay posted this video! I took them out, embellished them and tied a ribbon on each one! Mailed them out on Monday! Very happy to donate them!😁

@@mykraftycorner8681 in the blog post some of the words are in RED like the name of the site, those are links you can click on. however, none of them say anything about bookmarks, or what images are not allowed. I know some people are weird about Owls, for example. It would be nice to know ahead of time.Because we kind of think book owl but some think owls are a bad omen.

My question is that it says to sign the cards but is it ok to leave the back of the bookmarks blank?
i’m wondering the same thing. i have some premade that have just a white or black back. and they’re pretty thick already to add another layer.
They prefer handmade, actually they won’t send out premise cards so I imagine it’s the same with book marks. You can certainly sign them if you like.

D. All of the above. Immediately sending 3000+ to seniors and some to teens, but also serving kids all year round. Please note, we're also sending cards to some of our VA Hospitals as well.

Are the bookmarks or kids or Adults
They're for both. We're serving 3500+ seniors (includes senior homes and VA Hospitals), as well as 20K+ children and families at Ronald McDonald Houses, hospitals and foster homes/nonprofits.
Another way to make people buy all that paper and produce garbage, "omg, now I can't read because I don't have bookmarks". How about to make a video to save some paper hence to save a nature.
Please note, all the guidelines for the bookmarks are 100% the same as the cards. Since we're all volunteers we are not able to update our website to include this request. One benefit is if you sign a part of your cards/bookmarks with your name and location. That makes it clear they were handmade and makes it seem even more personal.

I think the longer bookmarks would be welcome - some seniors might need large print books which would need longer/larger bookmarks

I know that she said that the request came out in their Instagram page. But not sure if the regulations are there too.

Ok you need to go to the companies website, link is in her blog post. Then from there you can look at "More Information" and in there is where it will tell you what things you can use and what not to use, like no religious messages. It downloaded a PDF or something on my device so it's several steps to get there.
This is a special call out for bookmarks, but all rules for cards still apply.
