Just want to take the time to thank the guy who took the time to make these videos. This channel is a GOLDMINE !!! As said by one on here previously. Thank you for all your hard work and for providing this much information. May you live a long and healthy life mate !!! Thank you God bless 🙌
Thank you, your comments are appreciated. More videos to come, in between cancer treatments. And yes, I'm planning on a long life when this is all over. Thanks again, Dave.
Passed my C&G on line assessment Friday and have my practical assessment Monday. Really appreciate the time you've taken to make this video. I already do a lot of testing for work but the added pressure of being assessed on the day can cause silly mistakes to slip in. will definitely be watching this video a couple more times
Brilliant advice given, It can’t be stressed enough practice practice practice beforehand and prepare yourself during at least two weeks before the day of your assessment. Fantastic advice and video Dave 👍
You are gem . Thank you for this very very informative video. The information in this video are priceless because you can't buy them anywhere. Thank you for your enormous help you are giving to some us less experienced Electricians. Please may I know, if an assessor asked you a question from the Regs and you couldn't navigate to look for the answer, will that be a fail?
Once again, amazingly helpful, succinct, efficient and beautifully made film. Thanks so much again, your channel is a genuine benefit to humanity in a world full of slapdash training cowboys. Love it!
Outstanding Dave.. I am amazed that you don't have your own training centre.. or do you..? lol Great video.. I did most of the things I shouldn't have during my first attempt at assessment.. but practice and perseverance won the day.. ! 👍👍
Excellent stuff Dave thanks alot. Can you also make a video on how is Yellow transformer works at 110v and how does it provide protection at work as I have seen many videos and seems like none of the creaters themselves know how these transformers work. It would be nice to see why they are important to be used while at working thanks alot again
Great request. It's on the list to be done in the next couple of weeks. We've had several requests about this so it is obviously needed. Thanks for the prompt, keep me busy. Have yourself a great 2023 my friend. Dave.
Unfortunately I can’t do mine yet as I’ve failed periodic inspection and testing theory exam three times. I passed all the others no problem but I’m only allowed GN3 book in my exam and I’m struggling

Can someone help? I'm a trainee electrician. If this were a metal junction box with a DIN. Then all circuits will have interconnected CPCs via the DIN, causing challenges in later testing? Do we avoid this ? If so how? Maybe the each CPC module on the DIN is not connected to the metal enclosures, same as a line/neutral. Then do we still install a separate earth cable from MET to the metal enclosure ?
This is something your course tutor should cover in a practical session. Ask when it will be covered, he may well show you and give you a demonstration.
Am i just being an idiot but why would you do a continuity test on the water heater circuit between L-N? the only time i've checked continuity between L-N is during ring tests.
All inspection and testing assessments will follow a similar pattern with variations. The main thing is - are you working safely, can you identify and/or find the faults. All fault finding practice is good practice.
Yes. Level 3 and 2931 will have this practical. You can buy a cheap second hand tester for around 250 and test your own house. Or at least fill out a test form from the onsite guide once for practice
@@JIBS. it is hard to be fair however. If you go over past papers u will find that many of the same questions pop up in the exam. The main theory / book stuff I saw was related continuity. R1 and R2. Also little r1 and little r2. The 1.67 x rule of cpc. And much about maximum permitted Zs. Also rcd trip times. And the forms. Have u filled out an EIC form? Everything involved relates to the forms. The forms are a recipe for study. Go through the forms and it will tell you what you need to study. It's all on the forms.

I've finished the L3 now, so no more tutors! Could you kindly guide me please? I really want to learn the correct way and ensure compliance
Super video
Thank you, great feedback, thanks for watching.
Excellent explanation .... I saw lot of video in your chanal I like to get 18 edition wiring regulation certificate, how can I do .I am in Srilanka.
I thought you were in the UK. If you want to do the 18th edition training and exam you will need to come to the UK.
I ve got my practical tomorrow wish me luck guys😅

We should be checking continuity on all circuits, especially on assessments. Thanks for watching. Dave.
@@learnelectrics4402 i see, ill keep that in mind. thanks for your videos dave, ive just passed my 2391 practical assessment earlier today.
Is this relevant to AM2?
This is just general advice to give you an idea of the types of faults/problems to look for. Thanks for watching.
hi sir, does it comply 2392-10 ? I am studying DEI course
All inspection and testing assessments will follow a similar pattern with variations. The main thing is - are you working safely, can you identify and/or find the faults. All fault finding practice is good practice.
Good general advice, however the format of the I&T assessments for C&G L3 5357, 2365, 8202 and 2391 are different and not as indicated here.
Thanks for your comments, as you say, this is intended as general advice. Thanks for watching. Dave.
Is this assessment part of the level 3 electrical installation course?
Yes. Level 3 and 2931 will have this practical. You can buy a cheap second hand tester for around 250 and test your own house.
