What a remarkable story from such a humble family I respect anyone who is willing to stay the course in their business Eric Newman told this story like a pro his family should be proud and they should show this at family gatherings so no history is forgotten only added and expounded

Cigar smoking is a new love of mine. I feel like it is a gift from God to enjoy tobacco in its most pure form. It’s becoming a sacred ritual for me to enjoy a good cigar or two a week. It’s a shame the government is hindering these businesses from doing what they do best for over 100 years, and hindering people from enjoying affordable products that they’ve been using for 1000’s. I’ll have to try a Newman cigar soon. Wish them the best in their fight and hope they’re around a long time.

Cigars are relaxation, art, luxury, camaraderie and so mich more. Master growers farm and ferment the leaves, master Rolleros craft to the strictest standards, blenders try different combinations of leaves from around the world to come up with amazing blends all delivering a unique taste experience. This was a cool video especially because JC Newman makes one of my favorite sticks, the Brick House Maduro.

The issue im seeing with cigar lounges in the central Florida area is if they are not a stand alone building and they instead share walls with other businesses they well far too often get enough complaints from their neighbors about the smell seeping into their units and get the property owners or counties to shut the lounge down. Damn shame but for the non cigar smoker it’s reasonable. Great diamond crown cigar lounge in Lakeland, FL I highly recommend

i only recently started smoking cigars early this month(im 35), it had be a bucket list thing. and i gotta say its very relaxing, and im not sure why i had this urge cause i've always hated cigarettes the smell being one of the most acrid thing in the world to me. it might be ironic that i like cigars but not cigs but i like it :) and i will be smoking cigars whenever i get the chance to afford it. might be only a few times a month but that's fine by me. i see these things as a treat. in any case this was a fascinating story and i enjoyed it so much.

Its interesting. When you smoke a cigar you're doing something that links back and connects you with many many ancients from out past, and many many of your brothers and sisters today. It's almost like this sacred thing that shouldn't be taken for granted nearly as much as it is. I dont think its on the same level as like psychedelics or lsd or shrooms or that type thing which really is a spiritual experience, but its not a huge leap away.

If anyone is turned off of the Julius Ceasar by JC Newman because of it's price...don't be. It's a cigar that, if you get one, you'll regret it...because you didn't get a box. There needs to be a 'legal status' that protects Heritage businesses like JC Newman and many others like it that are threatened by over-regulation or globalized conglomerates. These businesses ARE the flavour of the nations in which they reside...like a Philly Cheese Steak, or a Chicago Pizza, and many other unique and signature things that create pride in and draw people to regions. Sad day when the whole world is a big box.

The guy who owns the cigar bar straight up lied when he said "the margins are very thin." The margins on premium cigars are insanely PHAT. My friend owns a busy cigar shop in the city. He's owned it for a few decades. I've seen his invoices and the msrp on cigars is so much higher than invoice it's laughable. The real joke is the actual cost to make a cigar is so low it's amazing. The taxes along the way bring the cost up as do the advertsing dollars. Very simply put, people who spend 25$ on a cigar are making manufacturers, distributors, and retailers very wealthy. Sorry, but don't BS a guy who's smoked cigars for 40 years plus on a daily basis.

“Regulation destroys small businesses” is something very generic people with lobbying interests say. I love and appreciate the hand made cigar industry but that statement was used to lift protections on small banks and pension funds. Deregulation of those industries destroyed millions of people’s lives in the 2007-2008 financial crisis. The banks were deregulated and slick investors took full advantage of being able to invest pensioners and hopeful retirees entire life savings.

How did the Africans first get here, by the millions, was it by choice? That's not rhetorical.
Furthermore, what happened to the Italians and Irish that got here? Luckily they were able to assimilate and just be white over time, same a the Jews. Hmmm... Native people couldn't do that.
How many natives so you know personally.. exactly...
Now, in modern times, why do people come here? Capital... The creed is life LIBERTY and pursuit of happiness. A super power can write its own story, no? That is called propaganda. Which works. Nazi, north Korea, British royalty and colonialism... History... Study it.
