Yes I have Aventus , Erolfa , Himalaya , MI and GIT and I must admit I am a Creed fan and don’t really understand the hate but they are an amazing house there is no denying that! erolfa and Aventus are my Favorites and a little backstory no one knows is that Erolfa is the houses family gem and the word Erolfa is actually the first letter of each of the family members names . I discovered this when I had the opportunity to me the North American ambassador for creed and he shared this tid bit with me. Either way great stuff !!
Creed gets hated so much these days. But in my opinion it‘s the best fragrance house EVER. By far. Every Fragrance from Creed is super unique and likeable. The Quality is like nothing else and you can‘t clone them properly. (hope my english is good enough)
Here's the thing: Are there houses that have made better scents? Yes. Are there houses that make more daring fragrances? Yes. Is there another house that consistently makes as many high quality, safe, office friendly/average joe would like fragrances? Not even close. They may not always do super ground breaking things, but notice that fragrances from designer houses from the 80's and 90's feel dated now. However, the Creeds from that era all still feel appropriate to wear today. They made timeless fragrances in part because of the simplicity and always making sure the products are of a high quality.
2nd favorite creed after GIT. Signature scent worthy. It's fresh and masculine but still refined. Perfect for colder overcast days. Wife is nuts over it as well!
I remember seeing my late grandfather wearing it I never smelled something like it ever, he got it from Harrods 5 years before his passing, planning to buy it not only for the smell but as a tribute to him and his legacy.
I went to Nordstrom today to smell Neroli Sauvage, which smelled good, but it was Himalaya that blew me away. I can't believe how amazing it smells, yet you barely hear about it. You're so right it does sort of remind you of GIT but it definitely has its own thing going on. I didn't see that coming at all. Now I want it in the collection.
I remember getting Himalaya when I was senior in College, that was around 2009. I was in Saks early this year to get Orage by LV but then saw Creed kiosk and went and sprayed Himalaya. It reminded me of why I loved Creed house back then. Himalaya is truly truly the underrated among all Creeds, I reach out to it more often than my Aventus, Aventus Absolu, Erofla, Tabarome, GIW, and SMW. Great Review
@@ambiven10 I honestly started with Himalaya then added MI. They're not long lasting but quality perfumes. Please sample before committing and test them out.
I also have this besides othet few creeds. Gunpowder or not, there is clearly a metallic touch in there. Refreshing metallic touch, like a cold-hearted fragrance in a good way. Also not bad performance, not even in the colder days. Unique, nice quality and nice fragrance overall. Thank you for the review
I love Himalaya and like Royal Water. To me they’re almost in the same category but Himalaya takes the slight edge because of its crispness Good stuff!
You just inspired me to take Himalaya on a quick work trip. It’s a great scent I don’t reach for enough. My favorite from the house is original vetiver. A great scent no one talks about.
So I tried this today. Himalaya is a hybrid of green Irish tweed. Both you get a super realistic natural crisp bar of soup dry down sandalwood. Basically this scent anyone who smells it will like it can’t go wrong.
Just a side note my man, any creed fragrance in 100ml bottles does NOT contain real ambergris. They stopped using it a while ago, which is why there is such a massive quality difference between the last few years of creed fragrances and older batches.
@@gerardgeorge no, any 100ml creed does not contain ambergris regardless of what the notes state. They have not used real ambergris in their fragrances since around 2012.

I don't think so, again at least in my humble opinion XS is good enough to discard Himalaya... cheers Gerard!
Understandable Fernando. I haven’t had the pleasure to smell XS and I’d be curious to see if it has the same first impression on me as this did. There was just something about this one for me personally.
Thx for this review. I’m Still indecisive which one to buy. Pretty much tried all the creed lines. Except the green Irish tweed people says smells like cool water 😅
I was looking for a replacement for the now discontinued Gucci Pour Homme II. I think I found it with Himalaya. This is an awesome fragrance that just gets better the longer it dwells on the skin. It reaches its peak scent (in my opinion) about 3-5 hours after application. Just amazing. But freakin’ expensive!
I like fresh/clean frags, so this seems right my alley, but it's hard to come by where i live, impossible to sample, and i'm not rich enough to blind buy such an expensive frag. The creed i do own, and love, is virgin island water - tropic vacation in a bottle...
I own Silver Mountain Water. Would be redundant to have both? The way you describe Himalay reminds of Silver Mountain Water. Just without the inky feel. Silver Mountain Water does have a chilling, airy feel to it.
Natural ingredients are what sets creed apart. I think of it like a car. A good family car will do the job of getting you from A to B. A premium vehicle will do the same job but stimulates the senses in a more positive way. You shouldn’t feel bad about enjoying Creed. Gerrard likes Creed and isn’t afraid to share the reasons why. Bravo Gerrard.
@@gerardgeorge Thanks Gerrard I am on board with your flex. Quality is remembered well after the price is forgotten. Like you, I do enjoy a good cheapie. The real magic though is usually in the premium product.
I’ve been one to heavily criticize Creed for reformulations watered down garbage; however, other than Silver Mountain Water, which is literally water, the rest have performed well if I apply two sprays behind the ears and one behind the neck. For me, Creeds give me olfactory fatigue quickly if I spray around the chest or front of neck areas. When I spray Creed the way I mentioned above, I get plenty of whiffs of it throughout the day. Most have lasted a solid 6 hours then projection falls to just a skin scent or if the wife is getting a little pickle tickle 😆 she smells them and gets all crazy.
Aventus cologne, millisime imperial, Himalaya and GIT are the only ones worth it imo… newer bottles of imperial perform horrible but it makes the cut cause I love the scent so much
@@MoMoneyNoProbz man great question. I like PDM quite a bit. Easy to wear long lasting fragrances. They smell more designer to me than say Creed. I think my favorites from creed are better overall but Sedley is in my top 10 and it’s my favorite blue fragrance.
I do understand why Creed is so highly praised and considered the "alpha" of men's fragrance because most, if not all of Creed line is very non offensive and mass pleasing. I have yet come across any Creed fragrances which I would consider terrible or "simply not for me at al!" With that said, my favorite from the line easily goes to Erolfa and Royal Oud but I do admit they are little overpriced, especially Royal Oud at $500+ price tag.

I wonder why no one has ever addressed the fact that Himalaya is not a Creed original , as usual Oliver has managed for decades to fool everyone. La Prairie for Men came ONE year earlier than Himalaya and smells 100% exactly on the dry down . I still have 2 bottles , probably the last ones in the planet. My 2nd favorite and one that often tied for first was Silver Mountain Water, but that was on the old formulation. The new stuff is good, but it opens up the whole ball game for just about anyone.
