He is different-positively very different this doctor Gikonyo(may my Lord God bless him and the fruits of his dedication to the service of God’s people)Unlike the unpleasant encounter with my very first dentist at the Kenyatta National Hospital in early 90s, who I went to consult, queued for an hour or so when this doctor locked his door walked out for his lunch break at 12.30, instead of the official time of 1.00pm
I was youthful and brave enough to confront him wanting to know why he would leave early as we waited with pain in our jaws.
“Look around” he bellowed “do you see any other doctor working at this time”
“so why should I work when all my colleges have already left for their lunch break” he continued as he walked away.
Very surprised and disappointed, I left KNH to search for a private doctor down town and that was my first and last visit there for doctor’s consultation.
To this day, I still disappointedly wonder why a doctor could have behaved in that unprofessional manner!

Finally I ended upat Dr. Gikonyo"s Karen Hospital in February n he placed a stent in one of my arteries which had blocked successfully. Thank you Dr. Gikonyo. I really appreciate you. Be blessed sir.
