2:22:04 gave you a sub because I appreciate where you said how long it took to edit and what not plus outside of various other mainline routes, this route is quite long going from Cambridgeshire all the way down to Sussex i think it is? Also the timestamp is me wondering they never kept you straight ahead instead of diverting left only to divert back right into P4🤷🏽♂️😅
Thanks for the support, much appreciated! The wiggly route will probably be TS’s route planner in the scenario editor. It’s not very clever and does the odd strange routing.
To clarify your caption, at 1:43:33 the overbridge carries the line across the A23 London-Brighton trunk road - the line's main competition. Also, the planes at Gatwick really are that loud!
It’s not included unfortunately- I just travelled to as far south on the Kings Lynn route as I could (to Copenhagen Tunnel) and cut to halfway through the Canal Tunnels (the tunnels connecting Finsbury Park to St Pancras) on the giant Thameslink merge route. These routes unfortunately aren’t combined yet as the section of track connecting the ECML to the Canal Tunnels doesn’t exist in Train Simulator.
I used Train Simulator’s “play audio” function within the scenario editor which triggers the announcements in the background while playing. I have a Nvidia GTX1050 (quite an old graphics card actually, but TS seems to work a dream on it.) The incredible textures of the ATS Kings Lynn-London route really adds something too.
Funny you should mention the dtg version of this train from tsw3/4. Always wonder why the motors sound a lil off. Dno why they cant go out and update that🤷🏽♂️ I think nothing changed in real tbh so why does it sound like in the first place?
Because DTG rush a lot of their releases. They reused sounds from the Class 395 which are not even nearly close to the true sounds of the 700. It’s really quite shameful that DTG have become so lazy with their train releases.
13:42 do ely and kings lynn services still go from liverpool street? And if they do/dont, is this something that is communicated with regular commuters in advance?
1:15:20 I’ve always wondered what is to the right in that dark area in real life? And why was there a branch line to the left after farringdon? Does that lead on to the lul or something? Its not like that in real life, at least not anymore anyway.
Of course, no, that’s a glitch. It appears to be where the Midland Main Line and South London Network routes for TS were stitched together, probably a bit of geo coordinate discrepancy.
The announcements were on AlanThomsonSim, although it looks like they’ve been removed literally in the past week which is annoying. I’ll have a look for them elsewhere and link it in the description as they may still be in the public domain.
@@NFFC-su8he I don’t believe we have them still. I’m planning on making an archive of Thameslink announcements myself at some point. I haven’t checked other sites yet though.

London Bridge is at the end of the South London Network route for Train Simulator, which was published many years before London Bridge station was upgraded. The developers have annoyingly not updated the route since its release, hence the lack of detail.
Unfortunately I’m not able to get the scenario onto AlanThomsonSim as it’s too graphically intensive on Train Simulator for me to edit and upload due to the huge route length and number of assets. Unfortunately I don’t think I will be able to upload it.
Kings Lynn to Kings Cross I believe is a separate route. The ECML London Peterborough is a much outdated version of the route (almost 10 years old) and therefore is almost impossible to connect to the rest of the Thameslink network (as the Canal tunnels did not exist when the route was produced). I don’t think it’s possible to move content to a separate game (possible between TSW2/3 but not between TS and TSW.) They use completely different graphics systems.
@@ItsAllAboutTheJourney yeah I know, play both. But what I meant was Brighton mainline is available in TSW2… and will subsequently be available in TSW3
I think the missing platforms were a problem on my side - eg. some missing or corrupted assets perhaps. I’ve managed to get the get them working before so it’s not an issue with the route.
@@Keyaans_Photography Hmmm ok - might be a problem with the route then - I’m surprised. I would suggest reinstalling the route again but I tried that and the platforms at Shepreth and Royston were still missing. Sorry for the late reply.

Cambridge to London is covered by this route below - it’s £26.99 and does feature a few requirements: alanthomsonsim.com/product/kings-cross-to-kings-lynn/ With a bit of editing magic we were able to transition between the routes in this video. There is no direct Cambridge-Brighton merge (yet!)
I bought the same map same train same everything but they don’t allow me to play, it says scenario failed to upload, does anybody know what to do ? I’ve done the F2 method already

Is there any game that has the proper use of sdo? I wish tsw had it man for various stations
I’m not sure if any train in TS has a fully functioning SDO system. I agree, it would make stopping at short platform stations much more realistic.

Why hasn't there been any development at London Bridge?
London Bridge is at the end of the South London Network route for Train Simulator, which was published many years before London Bridge station was upgraded. The developers have annoyingly not updated the route since its release, hence the lack of detail.
In my game, is there a reason why the stations platforms at City Thameslink, Blackfriars and Elephant & Castle are invisible?
It may be that you haven’t got all the requirements for the route. The scenery is quite limited at City Thameslink and Blackfriars.

If you look carefully you can see the destination blinds on the side. A bit hard to see, but they are there!
how do you hide the cursor since i had to hold right click throughout my whole journey to make it more realistic
I’m using the software called OBS. There’s an option in OBS when you select a new source to hide the cursor.
