      I know I took a class for 8 weeks almost 40 years ago. I remember how fun and fit it made me feel so I m gonna do it again. Yay!!!

      Yeah i found get videos a couple weeks ago. I've been dancing for a week now and having so much fun! But I slept wrong and hurt my neck a bit, so I'm following the blogilates channel instead. Looking forward to more belly dancing soon!!

      Not certain about the points made but, if anyone else trying to find out how to belly dance for beginners try Sovallo Dance Blueprint Fixer(do a google search )? I've heard some decent things about it and my co-worker got cool results with it.

    Oh I love this! I lost 100lbs in 6 months in 2020 then took a 3 months hiatus to make sure those good habits stuck. Now I wanna focus on slimming my belly and thought this would be great and man am I feeling it in a my core after 1 workout! Exactly what I wanted. I just hate the ads that pop up halfway through a move and the flow I have is gone :/

    I found this routine a couple of weeks ago. I'm amazed at how much better my range of motion feels better. I can reach so much more quickly now. I'm 49 years old and 5'10 two fiddy. Never was sloppy, but I was stove up stiffer after one movement. I can move now. Also my covid-19 vaccine shot doesn't hurt anymore.

    I'm doing a workout challenge by Chloe ting, on the days she has you do abs, I switch out her video for your belly dancing videos. And my abs are always destroyed by the end lol Even though I'm a total beginner, I do feel a confidence boost when I finish a video! Thank you so much!

    I love this, I try and work out every day and when I need something quick and effective I do this and I love belly dancing

      I think it is important for instructional videos to provide proper guidance and explanation of the techniques. I never felt like she was moving too fast, and I appreciated the combination of technical and artistic explanations of the movements. It also never felt boring or slow. Besides the quality instruction, this is shot very well: the camerawork and the voiceover are right on cue, and that is not easy to find.     I haven't done your belly dance classes in forever so this fairly simple one was a great way to get back into it. I am still terrible at shimmys but pleased I can remember how to do a hip drop!

    Love your workouts! Have to admit, I actually had trouble with the wobble shimmy. I guess my body was so used to doing faster shimmies that I had to train my body to slow it down!
    Anyway, keep up the good work!

    The hardest part is trying to decide whether to stop and skip the ads or keep doing the same motion through the ad.
    also, doing hip shimmys since my thighs and knees are too large to stand with my feet together to do them 😅

      Watch the video first without dancing along, then replay it! The ads won’t show again, and you get a preview of what you’re actually supposed to do!

    Hi Leilah :) I love your videos - you have a great way of breaking down the steps and then putting them in sequence. Can ask though, as I have just had a baby 2 months ago; are there any steps that help strengthen the pelvic floor muscles and/or correct Diastasis Recti? Are there any steps that I should avoid at this time? Could you possibly make a video (or perhaps 2 or so . . .) for postpartum mothers who are wanting to start re-toning there muscles without over-doing it?

    Cardio has been too hard on my body as I've been feeling very weak, but this is perfect and gentle on my body while still toning and burning fat, and it's super fun!

    This is an excellent Daily warm-up for construction projects. Fifteen minutes. Fluid. Doesn't require getting in the mud. Please consider more prework workouts. Maybe with big fat inflexible uncoordinated Ken like me in mind. Doing this on my phone when I get to the jobsite is a safety focus.

    Love your videos! I bellydanced 2009-2011 and these are so helpful as I've been getting back into it. One question, would you consider doing a video comparing/contrasting the different shimmies? Even with your breakdown of the wobble shimmy I'm having trouble doing it differently from the Egyptian shimmy.

    Thankyou, my hips and shoulders keep getting sore from sitting at a desk all day. This is perfect to loosen them up again. Also though, how do I do the chest shimmy without it hurting my chest? Do I just need to wear a tighter sports bra?
