- Brooklinn Khoury's life changed forever last year when her cousin's pit bull attacked her. The dog bit off her upper lip. Now, the 23-year-old underwent six reconstructive surgeries to repair the damage. Dr. Nicholas Do took skin and nerves from Khoury's arm to create a fully functional new upper lip. Khoury is almost fully healed and loves smiling from ear to ear. She is expected to have one more surgery later this month.

The medical field doesn't get enough credit for what they do. This is unbelievable.

That's because unfortunately a lot of what they do, is used for a lot of vanity. Fortunately, all those freak shows of the 90s and run away plastic surgery has allowed for the doctors to really dial in their skills.

For those who don't know, Brooklinn Khoury has a youtube channel herself where she has documented her journey so far. I've never witnessed a woman glow with such confidence and bravery after such tragic circumstances. She deserves all the happiness in life!

She’s so cute and stunning. I remember hearing about this a while ago but I’m so happy she’s doing well. I was attacked by a pit bull and two other dogs when I was a little kid and after 17 years I’m finally getting over my fear of dogs.
Don't get over your fear of dogs. Fear is what kept us alive, you better be scared of pitbulls.
Pitbulls need to be restricted or banned. They were never bred to be family pets..
This woman went through so much pain yet made so much more for herself afterwards. She went from a normal model to a powerful invincible person. You can see it in her smile, nothing can stop her now.
This is so awesome. You'd never know what she went through when seeing her now. Just being able to walk in public and not be stared at anymore must be so relieving. I wish her well.
And she’s still got more cosmetic surgeries to come. Her doctor is so amazing and her TH-cam Chanel is really interesting and informative about the process

I am so glad that she is looking at this with positivity. My mother had a car accident and got her arm amputated when she was 8 months pregnant with me after having multiple miscarriages and trouble getting pregnant. She never once complained and said that she wanted to be a mother and how difficult it was to get pregnant/stay pregnant that it was a miracle I survived (with no issues at all). She is the strongest woman I know and I can tell that this girl is the same and I think she will be an amazing mom. It’s very difficult to change from looking at a situation negatively to seeing it positively. I’m so excited to see how great she looks next year!

Modeling is a tricky game. Too many models end up with mental body issues and negative eating habits. It's a very fake world as many other entertainment industries. So maybe this was a save for her. Now she gets to spend more time seeing herself as more than just a pretty image, now she has to explore what makes her beautiful deep within. Instead of being overinvested in what people think of her. This was she has to drown out the belief system that people's opinions matter.
This is a very touchy video. I went through a similar situation with my daughter a few years back that we still attend surgeries to to this day. When my daughter was only 5 years old, she had her whole nose bitten off by a pitbull. The first thing the doctor's had to do is attach the wound where she had no nose at all. Then doctor's had to take the skin from the forehead flip it down, took a piece of one of her ribs, cartilage from her ear to build and reshape her a new nose..
It's truly amazing what doctor's and technology can do 💯.. Sending prayers as well, I know it can be hard having to accept such a big change in your life.
Pitbulls inflict the most disfiguring, life changing injuries and damage within seconds. Their crushing jaw power predicts this. I'm very sorry this happened to your little girl.

I'm sure it's not easy to go through something like that, being the victim of the dog attack or the mother/father of the victim. Pitbulls should be under heavy surveillance. The amount of harms those dog caused is staggering
Pitbulls killed 70% of the 54 recorded cases of dog attack causing death in the US in 2022. There have been too many deaths by dogs already in 2023.

Agree! There's no stopping a pitbulll once it goes into mauling mode. They were bred to bite and not let go. They have a massive jaw power and easily tear people's faces, scalps and limbs right off in seconds. 70% of the 54 people killed by dogs in the US in 2022 were by pits. They can kill a child in minutes and regularly do. Survivors often have even worse and more complicated injuries than this young lady.

Ive had my bottom lip bitten off as well as my left eyelid. You can hardly tell unless im pointing out the scars. This happened over 35 years ago. Im glad shes recovered nicely.

I don’t care how much training a pit has I will NEVER trust them. Had a few close calls growing up & it was enough to scar me mentally for life. I walk the other way when I see one. I’m happy she recovered well & doesn’t hate dogs but I’m sure she will be cautious moving forward. She looks amazing tho bravo to the Docs on her case ❤️👏🏽

I can relate to this! I was severely bitten by my grandfather's German shepherd when I was 6 years old she but me from the top of my head to my left eye leaving me now blind and scared! She looks beautiful! Glad she is healing!

Her lip looks perfect at this stage in the surgery. I hope she doesn't get anymore surgery. If the doctor is too ambitious he might take too much lip off and then she will be left with her teeth showing. This stage really is as perfect as it can get. I wouldn't let the doctor touch it anymore. I had been following her journey for a while, but haven't watched her videos in over a month now. Wishing her well in he healing journey.
