      I tried to cover everything. Video got too long :) It's a pretty awesome board. I like that it is super thin.

    Thanks. Mine just arrived and I'm trying out various apps. Lichess is fine and I've played a few games. The board is very solid and recognizing pieces has been no problem even if they're not exactly centered

      I got it working with DGT Pi, which is amazing :) It works like a charm with Chess dot com, Arena, and Chessbase too. But don't forget to download the driver's from Graham O'Neill's website.

      @@TurnFullCircle that's exciting. This board is going to be a hit. I wonder if it outsells the Chessnut Air :)

    I have a specific question:
    Imagine you are playing a game and your opponent captures a piece (shown on device but not moved on the e-board yet). Instead of re-capturing normally by playing their capture and then your re-capture, would the computer recognize it smoothly if you, once the device captured, removed your piece and their piece from the board at the same time and put the new piece capturing?
    I hope that made sense and I’d love to know the answer. Thank you for the review!

    • @Gadgetify
      @Gadgetify  3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      so you are saying that if player made a capture, and you captured back without registering their capture first? Am I understanding this correct? Like they capture a bishop and you want to capture back their piece, so you just put your piece and forego their capture? Maybe I am understanding this wrong.

    • @lokkedpiano5261
      @lokkedpiano5261 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@Gadgetify Yeah I think that is right. Let’s say they capture your bishop with their bishop and you, on the board, simply remove both bishops and put your pawn there that is re-capturing for example. I would really appreciate if you tried that and let me know if the computer registers it properly

    • @Gadgetify
      @Gadgetify  3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@lokkedpiano5261 I have actually tried. Sometimes it works but sometimes it doesn't and tells you to complete the capture first. I play bullet and fast games and sometimes I do that. In general, you have to complete captures move by move.

    What is the first software was you using in the laptop to play chess, that had engine management to pick your engine?

    • @Gadgetify
      @Gadgetify  2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      on my laptop, I use Arena Chess and Fritz Chess. Chessnut also has its own app but I don't think I used it in this video. I have shown it here: th-cam.com/video/onhyPA-nzhk/w-d-xo.html

    Chessnut can play tournaments and puzzles on Lichess? And probably also puzzles? Is it also possible two lichess player play on it? Means physical in the same room at the same board?

      BTW its pretty useful to install "Chessnut Android" APP and not "Chessnut" APP (tested with Android) for this.
      The "Chessnut" APP works good but works not good with puzlle. Here in this Video it looks like "Chessnut Android" APP

    Which do you prefer between the air or air + and the go? Wanting something to use at home and portable as well.

    • @Gadgetify
      @Gadgetify  3 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      The Go hands down. I like the Chessnut Air+ a lot. It is gorgeous but Go being magnetic is a big deal to me. I am already clumsy anyway. In the future, you are going to see more videos with Go and fewer with Air+ because it is just more compact and does the job. It has pretty much all the same features as the Air and Air+. Those boards are portable but this is just the next level. The other board I like the Chess Genius 2024. That was is not as strong but does have a standalone computer. It's for a different audience: th-cam.com/video/XIB1bi9yFME/w-d-xo.html

      @@Pianoman1488 it really is tragic that there haven't been many firmware updates. It's still a fun board. The hardware is there. The software leaves a lot to be desired.
