Why was mathieu so low was he playing RB? The fact that we seen Chase outrun the entire Chiefs defense for the first touchdown and decided it was a good idea to play press zero blitz with no help overtop for Chase…? Or was Mathieus assignment middle overtop dropped down for some unknown reason gave chase the 1on1 over the top and he little boys the db like hes been doing all night…terrible play call or execution Tyron was basically useless that play he was nowhere near sticks or any player so confused

And I will be the first to say that Spagnola screwed that 3rd down call up probably by blitzing when doubling Chase and single covering everyone else would have easily prevented a first down even with Burrow having time to throw.
That was the best performance I've seen from a receiver since Calvin Johnson. Dude made every play; he was the best player on the field from start to finish. Unreal.

Single-handedly one of the best performances I’ve ever witnessed from a rookie. That goes for any sport.
Randy Moss on thanksgiving was the only comparable game I can remember for this sport for the position as a rookie.

I don’t know baseball or hockey enough to say. One or two of those Micah Parson’s performances from this past year would be the closest football comparison on the defensive side in a while that I can think of.

What’s amazing is a lot of people thought they should’ve drafted the LT with good reason. But having a weapon like him has proven to be just as if not more valuable for Burrow
Indeed, he is a generational talent and he is amazing, you can see the fear in the secondary now and we have waited so long. i love chad Johnson and what he did for us, but this chase is going to be the best WR in Bengal History.
Now Bengals can go out and draft a good tackle in next year’s draft and keep building the defense up.

Such a special athlete ffs. That speed, route running, and magical spectacular catch ability makes his play look unlike any I’ve seen before, and I am a Moss stan. I think one the most important values he brings is that you cannot leave him one on one too. Burrow can always create magic with Jamaar but Jamaar just being on the field can allow Burrow to more easily target other receivers too.

it's crazy to me that it took a game like this for him to secure rookie of the year. Mac jones, who has had an incredibly average season was -600 to win it coming into this week and ja'marr chase is probably the best rookie wide receiver this side of randy moss. If you let them, the media will control the narrative and tell whatever story they want and most of them (with the exception of nick wright) crowned mac jones rookie of the year halfway through the season despite him having no real case above jamarr. If he didn't go out there and the last two weeks and take the award by force the media would've stolen it from him by convincing you mac jones is a generational talent.
