Barkly Highway, Northern Territory, road trip, big lap,Barkly Homestead, Three ways roadhouse.After entering Northern Territory from Queensland ,I spend a few days at Barkly Homestead, an interesting roadhouse,with great sunrises,then on to three ways roadhouse ,a major junction that is never quiet. A great start to Northern Territory adventures.

Yep very busy at cvan parks,rest areas,national parks, sometimes it seems the diesel vehicles are racing each other to the next roadhouse

Awesome part of Australia. I worked at Barkley Homestead from December 1987 for 4 months. Loved every minute. Looks like the camp ground has grown a bit since then plus the pool etc. We used to swim in the dam out the back, but at night the mozzies would eat you pretty good.

Hi Nick,thanks,I really liked there,I stayed a few days,so much happening, who would of though you could holiday at a roadhouse. I'm not sure if it has completely reopened since the kitchen fire last year.It is a very busy place,take care Bill.

Would of dropped into the Barclay Roadhouse in 87 coming through both ways from the Alice Springs end or Mt Isa and Darwin NT on my BMW Kseries motorcycle I would of only been around 30 years or younger I'm still riding around and would love to do another lap of this beautiful country before I get to old I'll be 65 in a few weeks love the outback
