I am not against returning artists, but Mans should definitely not return. We have seen his face every single year in the past competitions, so him returning would be irritating.
He will be at least top 3 in Mello 2025 just because it's him, he will sound good and he will have stage presence however he will be a favorite whether the song is good or not.

Sure, some Eurovision winners Elizabeth Andreassen made it to the final in 2002, and came 3rd, but was far from a win, and Helena Paparitzou, made it through to the final, via Andra chansen, and got 4th place in 2014, Charlotte ended up in 8th place in 2021, but before that, she failed to reach the final in 2012, as well as in 2017. Carola failed to reach the Melodifestivalen final in 2008, and even Loreen failed to reach the Melodifestivalen final in 2017. New artists do get a chance, most of the artists are new, it's not like there is just an internal selection, like in some other countries, both veterans and the debutants have to prove that they're the best each year. And if you fail, you're out, even if you're a former Eurovision winner. I think the mix with both debutants and veterans make it fun and interesting. Having just debutant would turn Melodifestivalen and Eurovision into some kind of "Idol" contest. Former winners returning has been a Eurovision tradition for almost 70 years.

This isn't just about Eurovision. A lot of Swedish artists pretty much have to keep competing in MF to stay relevant and be able to work as an artist.
