I love this Jason Morgan. Wasn't too found of cops before coming to work for Sonny but he really had a disliking for them when he started with his BFF.
Jason wanted Absolutely nothing to do with the quartermaine's but Monica did have a point about innocent bystanders Jason wasn't in a place to understand that yet they have to take care of themselves I can barely keep track of me says it all
The importance of that dialogue was that Jason Morgan said the complete opposite of what Jason Q would have said. That was a startling punch in the gut to Alan and Monica.
No he was more strict about things like this esp if it involved Robin......he wasn't to fond of Duke either and unlike Jason he made sincere attempts to change and leave the mob life.....although he did come to begrudgingly respect that he loved Anna and Robin but still hated his mob ties.
Jason was cocky and arrogant to keep his mouth shut, it’s a good thing sonny came in his life to teach him some life skills when it comes to the cops to do one simple thing keep your mouth shut

Jason was a college sophomore when he had his car crash. It’s been repeatedly said over the decades that he was 20 years old. The crash occurred on the 12/27/96 episode, give or take a day. He was in a coma for a month. This episode is the following spring 1997. So the character in this episode is 20 or 21.

Cops are not great people! Especially After 2020. That changed people perception of cops.
