I learned this as a bean stitch. It looks great but it is a major yarn waster. I have a bedspread made with thread that my mother crochet in this stitch many, many years ago. Thanks for reminding us of this stitch

Fabulous pattern - and so EASY !! Also - thank you SO MUCH for showing every aspect of the label. We can see the brand, the colour, the SIZE - and both the knitting and crocheting gauges. So many tutorials only show two hands massaging a skein of yarn - not very useful at all. Your tutorial is perfect. And we can clearly see what you are doing, as well. Again - thank you so much.
PS - I have been crocheting for 70 years. My Grandma taught me before I started school - and I still love it. I have crochet books from all over the world - from about the 1940s forward - both textual and diagrammatical. And I am still learning new stitches and patterns every day. 💖
