    The A6 is a great car to buy 2-5 years old, new or used. They're very reliable while also being the cheapest for all the latest tech and have quite a good engine. Same price as a brand new car from Ford or Toyota but you get much more out of the deal. Just gotta make sure to get the warranties with the car and it won't cost you more than a Toyota to repair anything at the dealership.

    i still have audi a4 from 2008, i never felt like upgrading it with the newer a4's og the a6's(they just didnt feel luxurious enough) but finally the A6 2019 looks like a worthy upgrade.

    Excellent review; and, command of English on part of the reviewer. Am currently a C6 (A6 3.2 TFSI) owner. Not sure if this car is compelling enough anymore. Will explore cars with a better value proposition. Oh, and the 'fake' exhausts; c'mon Audi, you can do much better!!

    • @zenden6564
      @zenden6564 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      A6 C6 3L TFSI. Beautiful analog car. I don't find it front heavy and incredibly nimble for a 2000kg beast. Best economy i can get is 7.5L/100km highway cruising and 10.5L/100km city driving like Miss Daisy. The c6 3T (supercharger) is a superb donk and has proven to be very reliable, but I'd worry about twin turbo tech with all those extra ECU's and scores of sensors as the car ages. To me the extra complexity to convey refinement is a reliability trap - they are begging electric drivetrains to replace it. I'm confused by the C8 body styling, I thought the C7 looked very "audi chic", the C8 has gone back to a more conservative rounded look. I don't think that exterior styling will pull buyers very well :( - but the interior is a success i will grant them that.

    That thing about company lease was a jaw drop moment for me. What kind of company leases such an expensive car? All the company cars I see on the road are fiat panda, fiat punto, opel corsa, toyota Yaris etc. And all of them are the cheapest trim with a diesel engine. The lease of the a6 would be more than a wage of an employee for most companies.

    • @MarekDrives
      @MarekDrives 6 ปีที่แล้ว +8

      I assume companies don't lease base Pandas for their top-level management :)

      Yeah.. Didn't think of it too much... I just thought average salesman with ~800€ wage. I guess when you have a 6 digit annual income + whatever, you get to have something better than a fiat...

    In September 2018 Audi sold only 95 A6's in the US. No one is buying this car. Unless this car comes with a PHEV powertrain Audi should really stop selling it in the US market.

    Marek, another great review as always, but for some reason, in this video you were missing a whole load of definite and indefinite articles! Eg. *The* A6 and 5 Series... Anyway, don't let my OCD Grammar Nazi side get you down, it was still a great review :)
    I like 'business limousines', and I love the A6, but I think they've gone to far with this particular reincarnation, too many driver aids, like slowing the car down when approaching a speed limit. My A4 keeps giving me 'tips', and I wish I could just turn them off completely. And the three screens....it's just too much. The satnav would have been better as a motorised pop-up screen like on previous versions. Just my personal opinion of course.

    • @MarekDrives
      @MarekDrives 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      I think tips in A4 appear only in eco mode. Try driving in normal or custom.

      The reasons it weighs more than BMW 5 series is the fake exhaust and other unnecessary things like too many screens, it looks beautiful but the driver assistance hopefully can be turned off.

    I've just bought a 2018 S6 - and I have to say I'd be disappointed with the 2019 interior - not keen on the dash at all. The fuel gauge looks like something from my 1984 Ford Escort, or a late 70s toy. Might just be me - I'm a major Audi fan - on my 6th one. Touch screen heater controls are a big no no for me. I want to be able to turn up the heating without taking my eyes off the road.

    Well this might sound odd to some of you - but I like the fact that it's heavier. I mean how often are you gonna go 0-60mph with the pedal on the metal? I would probably never. and apparently the gas mileage isn't affected by it at all so have at it.. make it a two ton

    • @MarekDrives
      @MarekDrives 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Extra weight is a disadvantage, when it comes to handling. Because physics. And if handling isn't an issue, because who's going to drive a limousine fast, then extra weight also means more strain on the suspension and brakes. Everyone brakes.

    • @MarekDrives
      @MarekDrives 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Audi is a part of a much greater company, and cannot afford to make a mistake. If an Audi crashed in autonomous mode, big money would be lost, trust in the brand would plummet, etc.
      Tesla, with all due respect, is a tech startup, and nobody expects it to get everything right first time round. Even if it costs lives.
      I spoke with a Mercedes autonomous driving expert a couple of years ago, and he said the idea is to gradually introduce new solutions. 1. it won't scare off older customers (which Tesla doesn't have), 2. (between the lines) there's always something new to sell, when time comes for a facelift or new generation :)

    • @ONI1013.
      @ONI1013. 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      To do with emission regulations I believe. VAG and MB have been through the mill with the regulators so have adapted to new 2021 std early. BMW and other brands have the surrounds ready. At present for some brands you can still see the actual exhauts but this shall change in a year or so and will be blanked out like VAG vehicles and Merc. It looks rubbish granted. Did grieve me trading in a genuine quad exhaust car for this. The 55 TFSI is lovely though - albeit with the fake exhaust thing periodically springing to mind :/

    Great review, as always. Damn handsome (sexy?) car, no doubt. But why does Audi "mail it in" regarding integrating all the sensors into the front fascia. Everyone else (including even Hyundai, Honda and Toyota) manage to integrate and hide all the sensors without compromising the design. Audi has just tacked them under the grill, here and there, with seemingly no engineering aforethought.

    • @MarekDrives
      @MarekDrives 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      I think there are more of them here, so hiding them for example under the logo is not an option.

      Lucky you. In Europe they still start around 60k, choose a bigger engine, add some options, and you're in the 100k euro territory in no time.

    Normally I like your videos but you are really getting “old”. You comment of the exhaust as a problem but not the finger prints or sun hitting the new instrument cluster. What happened to real Audi sound lab calibrated knobs. Anyway you use the hole video talking about assistant systems when these are almost common in all brands now. Even Hyundai has lane assist etc. “The a4 is boring to drive” well it is also with the 190 bhp approx 1/3 the price and with a totally different engine and car size. As so many other reviewers who don’t understand their target audience you review the biggest model with the biggest engine AND Quattro. This is typically not the car people buy from new and if they do the don’t watch your videos first. As a company car it’s usually way to expensive for the leasing companies. I wonder what car you drive in yourself?

    • @MarekDrives
      @MarekDrives 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      During my time with this car I did not find sun reflections to be a problem. Fingerprints yes, hence the screen cleaning mode, which I presented.
      As far as driver aids are concerned, they are now mandatory, but work to a certain extent. If you drive a Hyundai and an Audi back to back, you'll see Hyundai driver aids are mostly annoying, and Audi driver aids are mostly helpful.
      All that said, Audi is ridiculously expensive.
      I drive an MX-5 (NC). Due to high test car turnover we decided don't need a second car, and the car we wanted was something that we would want to drive even after getting out of a Rolls Royce :) th-cam.com/video/ssF8NmiESk4/w-d-xo.html
