I need to get this set next. I’ve just recently got the Sabotage set. They’re beautifully presented aren’t they. I wish we had a dvd or Blu-ray though.
A great album foe sure. I like the stereo quadrophonic CD. The U.K. 2 CD version is a three disc set with a DVD of the quad mix in 5.1 and stereo. The deluxe box is very good, but I feel re-releasing the first eight albums over and over again is getting redundant. I really would like to see the remainder of the Sabbath catalog get the remaster and re-release treatment. But, maybe it's only me. Great video as always.
They have remastered and released expanded 2 CD sets up through The Eternal Idol. But I’d love to see TYR and Cross Purposes get remastered. Forbidden is being remixed by Tony Iommi for a future release.
Yes, and I have them all. I just would like to see them released back on vinyl. Every Sabbath album, just like every AC/DC album, is essential for die-hard old school rockers.
Those later albums really should be given more respect. They are fantastic albums. Unfortunately part of why they aren’t given respect is they’re always out of print as though they aren’t worthwhile releases but in fact they are totally worthwhile. Here’s hoping they eventually get given their due....and you get your vinyl releases!

Well Paranoid would be a great one to start with since it has several classics like Paranoid, War Pigs, and Iron Man on it. Masters Of Reality is also really good but my fave is Sabbath Bloody Sabbath.
Actually not true. The first Grunge artist is considered to be Neil Young and his 1969 album Everybody Knows This Is Nowhere which was released a year before the self titled Black Sabbath album. But then I also do not see Sabbath as Grunge at all. Now if you wanted to claim they are the first Stoner band, then maybe.

Haha…I’ve got some stuff I’ve bought for one reason or another but didn’t open it right away. I like to wait to open it until I’m going to play it. Sometimes thought years can pass pretty quick between owning and not playing.
Yes they’re the original...but I actually still like all of the incarnations. Although at some point they should have changed the name or become an Iommi solo project. But that wasn’t for lack of Iommi trying, the label wouldn’t let him change the name or be a solo artist. I wish they would make one more album.

They each have different bonus items and material. You’re right it’s all marketing. This boxset reproduces a tour book from that tour and I really wanted that aspect of the box. So they suckered me in....again....haha!
You can only listen to one copy at a time so why does anyone need more than one copy? I have owned since new since release all their albums in what are surprisingly decent original vinyl pressings and they were good enough then and still good enough now. Saying that I have spend a small fortune on my sound system over the years so the improvements made have been in hardware not the media source. Do later SACD DVD-A, Hi Res digital sound better than a decent vinyl pressing on a decent sound system sound better? IF your answer is yes you need a better sound system cos there not but they are way better than the crap they sold on CD when they first came out.
That statement makes no sense!! Of course you can only listen to one at a time but who says you have to always listen yo the same thing?! It’s nice to have alternate versions as an option. Sometimes classics get worn out and you need to change it up. I can’t listen to the same thing over and over.

You do realize that physical format like CDs and vinyl still make up for 90% of album sales right? Streaming only accounts for about 10%.
Us who care about music still buy them.
