Don't hate me for my answer but this is what I feel even though I have been an ARMY for many years now! I don't think BTS should have a concert in India because there are too many factors that show that India is not ready for them yet. As an Indian myself, I agree it's not the best time for BTS to have a concert here. Most of the fans here are highschool students who don't do part-time jobs or have much money and if BTS was to come then their concert tickets must be expensive as hell and if they were to come they did choose cities like Mumbai so imagine the plane ticket adding to it and also hotel to stay in. I regret my country's views but the most k-pop non fans who don't really care or like them but searched them up bcoz of their popularity may tease them because of their looks. In India, it's like every guy here has a perfectly trimmed moustache and beard. And mind you, I differ, I hate it. I like clean shaved. Anyways, people even say their gay and shit because of their makeup! It makes me outright angry! They say they are like girls.And also... Most of our older generation doesn't understand k pop and some state the opinions larger than others which would have the possibility of hurting them if they were to hear this... -- (Personal Story, skip it if you'd not want to read and waste time) Let me state an example, I had to go to the school counselor. He asked my questions and one of them asked was, "Are you a fan of BTS? I heard it's popular these days" I knew they wouldn't accept it so I shrugged the question I mean evaded it. And without waiting for my answer he said, "Yes, Koreans have a great personality and all especially their respect towards their elders bowing and saying hi. It's a place with a lot to learn from." He agrees but then suddenly he was like, "but don't watch BTS because I heard they are a bad influence. Kids are getting sucked into it and it's not good." It's like not only BTS is a bad influence. I watch American shows which can be more open and also that guy had too much against some countries it made my fist clench hard. I really hated that guy It wasn't just Koreans he wasI really hated that guy. It wasn't just Koreans he was like that for but more or less It's the kind of mindset older people have in this country. Even if they had the money to go and see BTS, their parents may not provide it... If it was a college student, then I assume no permission required but like I said there are a lot of high school fans. Mine is filled with them. India also doesn't promote the concerts and stuff much. There were a few idols who have come and had a concert here Alexa and the others. I'm thankful they did but I'm still not sure. There are also lots of Indians who live in their own bubbles especially older generations who believe Bollywood is everything and the best! Thankfully I wasn't born into such a family and they so they didn't stuff me with those cringey ass films. I mean literally, every movie has the same feel at times. Those old ANCIENT songs!!!songs yean it's pretty oia and a tradition. I just dont really like slow songs and don't understand much of any language since I moved around a bit.) There are also many thoughts about India being unsafe because of certain movies and for me having lived my entire life here say maybe it's not entirely safe but it's not much enough for to be scared of someone to walk out at night. I live in a busy city and there are people everywhere which is safe because there are too many people for any shady activities to take place. I have never come across anything in my life. It's kind of not really appreciative when they say, "I heard India is not a safe place to travel to." Even though people here might have a stern face, they are not mean or unkind, they just have their own thoughts and also if you ask them for help, they would. Of course, there are a few who doesn't fit that category but let's be honest which country doesn't have? It's not like Korea is entirely safe to travel in. I don't want them to think India as a cheap country or any less of what it actually is, so I don't want them to come to India. If they should come, at a time when everything's better.
