Good job, I feel better about having to replace the covers on the two I got now. I learned a LOT from this and you honestly kept me from making some huge mistakes I would have without seeing these. Thanks again. Looks great.
I love your videos as you make it understandable. What is the correct density or foam number to ask for from a ebay or uphostery shop to get the correct density and model foam to do a correct foam repair for the Polaris ranger? They keep sending me foam that doesn't match even though it is firm density. Any info is helpful. The seats look like the same as in here, but the color is black or some camo design. I have new seat covers but the foam needs to be repaired on the edges and I have now watched MANY videos on doing the repair, just need to correct foam density to match. a 2ft by 2 ft square of the foam would fix both my seats easily.
Thanks for viewing, foam is measured by pounds per foot, the more pounds the more foam weights. It usually starts around 15 pounds= that's soft foam like a bed topper. And it rises to 70 lbs and even heavier. I am thinking it about a 50 lbs on a Polaris seat. It's kinda stiff. The color has no bearing, the manufacturer adds color for easy identification. I will say most dark colors are higher density. If you only need a small peace a auto upholstery shop is more likely (cheaper). Hope this gets you going
@@williamhall749 Thank you, it does help. I did get some firm charcoal color foam which seems as firm as the other, but the color worried me as it might signify some major difference. I do appreciate your videos and help. Best wishes.
Ha will you do a video on piping feet I use 4 23 and 5 32 foam piping and I have bought all sizes of feet and I sew as close as I can to the cord and sometimes I run over it or one side will be good and tight and the other side off and on what size feet do I need thank you so much love your video you sound have been a teacher in a school .Mark Harrell
