GY6 scooter project - Glass blasting rust and paint

quick catch up progress report. i have spent a week stripping back paint on the frame and other metal parts. most of the work has been done with a poly disc or a bench grinder with a wire wheel attachment but there are many nooks and difficult to reach parts that have required the use of glass blasting to rid me of the rust and paint. a 25kg bag of fine/medium glass media costs £17 and you go through it quickly so not something to use on the whole frame.

Bet it brings alloy castings up well. If you did it over a large plastic tub could you reclaim the some of the media?

I'm guessing you could, however the scatter pattern is quite random so perhaps 10-20 % ?
